“I purchased this on Ebay a few weeks ago and decided to go for an Ax-SYNTH instead just because I decided I did want the sounds built in.
It comes with the manual, a strap, and a brand new boss PSA-120s power adapter I just recieved from amazon in the mail today. I am setting the miminum bid at what I payed plus the cost of the adapter.
It is in PERFECT working condition! There is a small scratch on the right side (see photos) and a couple on the back from normal wear. As with all white plastic there is SLIGHT discoloration around where the top and bottom fit together (visible in the photo of the back conections above the ROLAND logo) as well as on the keys (Check out the close up pic of the LEFT side – the left most key is new and the rest are original. That is the level of discoloration.) This is only noticed very close up and definately would not be seen on stage. I cleaned this thing inside and out when I got it as well.” Link

“Here we have a used Roland AX-7 midi keyboard keytar in complete working order. Pitch bend pad and modulation bar are absolutely perfect! Some mild signs of wear on outer casing (nothing extreme at all, just normal wear from rehearsals, etc), I also glued faux gemstones to the buttons with model cement, and it looks really awesome under neon lights on stage. Battery cover is perfectly intact, and all inputs and outputs are in complete working order. Keyboard action feels brand new. Back panel has spray glitter on it as well, it adds to the psychedelic flavor of the gems. I also attached ZSL600 Zeppelinn strap locks to the included original roland strap. You can read about the locks on the zeppelinn strap lock website. I would midi the AX-7 to my Yamaha Motif ES and get the most ridiculous lead guitar patches through it. Using the pitch bend and the modulation bar on the AX-7 with the guitar sounds from the Motif was a revelation. For sale is a Roland AX-7 in good working condition.
Includes 1 AX-7, 6 standard AAs, and a stylish shoulder strap.
The AX-7 is a great keytar from Roland. I had a lot of fun with it, but I could use the money now. I especially liked it for mono synth leads, which work very well with the left hand expression controls, but it can certainly do more. Please note that it is a dedicated MIDI controller, (not a synth), so you’ll need to plug it into a synth to make noise. If you have your own sounds or even a keyboard that accepts MIDI in though, it’s a much more affordable alternative to Roland’s latest model.
There is one quirk that never affected my playing, which is that if you lift it up by the back it goes into edit mode. I’ve only ever done this to get to the cables and switch at the back, and it still sends data from the keys and expression controllers while in edit mode. The only other sign of it’s use is some very minor surface scuffing, and a scratch on each the two lowest black keys (F# & G#), parallel to the keys.” Link
“Sadly I am selling my Roland AX7 (midi) Keytar. This is the coolest piece of equipment that I have ever owned.
As I don’t gig as much as I use to this midi instrument is just being wasted standing in my bedroom, it needs to go to a home or owner who really does appreciate how awesome this keyboard is. If you’re a keyboard player in a band and is sick of never getting any attention or always being stuck at the back of the stage due to taking up to much room, then this keyboard is for you. “*the light brown tape all over the keytar is what i used to hold all of the screws. The screws are inside the tape…i didn’t want to lose the place of where individual screws were originally placed. the board is acually pretty clean if you remove the stickers and the tape.
This is a working keyboard. All the buttons and display seem to work well. The keyboard is coming apart though. I went ahead and took it apart because i didn’t want to strip out the remaining pastic pieces that connect it together. if you have the frame of a keytar then you can put all these parts inside it and you will have a nice keytar. if you know how to mold pastic back together then you can melt it back together. Or if you want to use concrete glue you can glue it back together for a permanent fix.” Link
