“Here we have a super cool Arp Quartet polyphonic synthesizer. This thing is jammed with classic analog tones. 4 different voicing families that are true classics: Brass, Strings, Organ and Piano. This thing is very similar to the Italian made Siel Orchestra synth. Different/odd/cool switches to engage your tones. The brass attack really helps you shape the color and add more feeling into it. Attack and Decay control help you really dial in exactly what you want. ” Link
” Vintage ARP Quartet Analog Synthesizer!!
This ARP does power on and all voices generate sound.
Problems:
The bottom F key makes NO sound.
Outputs are very low.
Volume slider is scratchy when moved.
If more than one voice is selected, E.g., Brass and Organ, they sound distorted.
Because of all these problems I am selling this as broken for parts or repair. It may just need a good cleaning, I do not know.” Link

“1979 ARP Quartet Analog Synthezier in Amazing Condition
This is a rare synth…this particualr synth is serial number 125 of 485.
Full functionality and barely any blemishes for its age! As is the case with all of my equipment, this piece has been gently used in my smoke-free studio.
All keys/notes work. All LEDs work. All knobs and switches in place and slide with ease. ” Link
“Here is a vintage ARP Quartet synthesizer in full working condition! The keyboard is used and has quite a few signs of wear, but this is to be expected from an item this old. All of the switches work fine except the “Vibrato On” switch, which at came off some time ago. This can be easily fixed as I will include the switch that fell off and the vibrato can still be turned on/off by just sticking the switch in the socket. As far as sound, the keyboard has the highly sought after ARP sound and is truly the real deal. This is a very rare synthesizer now days as they don’t show up online very often so don’t miss your chance to own this piece of music history! Keyboard stand not included.” Link
“ARP Quartet vintage string ensemble AS IS
This has definitely seen better days. It does power up, the power switch lights up, but no sound comes out. Several levers are missing knobs, one is broken, a couple keys are melted (damn cigarette smokers!) and the sides are loose. There are probably some other issues here I am forgetting, it could use a cleaning but it’s not too dusty. Sold AS IS for parts or as a project (I suspect this can be brought back to life with a minimum of work, but I make no promises.)” Link
“Vintage 1979 ARP QUARTET Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer Siel Orchestra Moog Opus 3
Condition:
- All keys and features work well.
- Brass attack slider is upside-down. Down (forward) position increases (slower) attack and up (away) position decreases (faster) attack.
- All lights on top panel work.
- Power switch light works.
- Sliders are smooth.
- All original, color-coded switch caps included.
- Some scuffs and marks (especially on bottom)
Features:
- Full 49-key polyphonic
- You can layer sounds on each other by pressing one or more sound button (Brass, Strings, Organ, Piano) for very Moog-like sounds. But, combination of voices simultaneously chosen do not always maintain their individuality. For example, you cannot hear Brass when combined with Piano.
- Each section has separate controls
- Tuning pot is convienently located on top to right of keyboard
- Original folding brackets are attached to bottom to give it a steeper angle when placed on a flat surface” Link
“Vintage ARP Quartet analog synth. Everything seems to work except that the Brass setting is quieter than the others and the Brass Attack fader doesn’t seem to work. I suspect that the fader is bad. All the other functions and LED’s seem to work fine. There is one broken key on the right side of the board as can be seen in pics. The key works as it should but is missing a chunk. A great sounding unit that needs just a little work. ” Link
“Vintage 1979 ARP QUARTET Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer Siel Orchestra Moog Opus 3
Condition:
- All keys work well
- All lights on top panel work
- Power switch light does not work
- Power cord is pulled out a little (see picture 9)
- All sliders (6) are stiff
- Missing one switch cap
- Bottom wood edges are chipped on front and back
- I cannot hear Brass sound when combined with Piano sound but the Vibrato effects section modifies Piano sound. This maybe the way it’s supposed to work. I don’t know. All other combinations work.
- Some scuffs and marks
Features:
- Full 49-key polyphonic
- You can layer sounds on each other by pressing one or more sound button (Brass, Strings, Organ, Piano) for very Moog-like sounds

“This is an ARP Quartet Synthesizer from around 1979. It is actually a Siel Orchestra made in Italy that was rebadged by ARP. I have tested all functions except for the sustain footswitch and volume pedal jacks. It doesn’t have either pedal. All the keys and sliders work fine and it sounds excellent. There is very slight scratchiness on the brilliance and volume sliders but not excessive. The only problem I could find is the brass sustain LED does not light but the slider works fine. Other than that it seems to work as it should. It has a three prong plug. There are some marks on the case and wood sides as you can see in the pictures. I have not opened it up to check the insides as I am not familiar enough with these and am afraid of damaging the wiring. The outside was rather dirty before I cleaned it so I imagine the insides should be cleaned also. This is being sold as is but if it is not in the condition as described let me know.” Auction ended. “Arp Quartet analog synth from the late 70′s.
Same as the Siel Orchestra from Italy
I’m selling it as is because of the following issues.
1) the brass attack slider does not work. When you bring the slider up sound goes away.
2) the vibrato switch doesn’t seem to do anything. It turns the light off/on but it doesn’t seem to kill the vibrato.
3) case is scratched. See pics.
4) AC cord is missing ground pin. It doesn’t hum. some bozo must have broken it off.
Everything else seems fine. All keys work all sounds and sliders do what they should.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“Selling my beloved ARP Quartet analog synthesizer
in full functional condition.
Has usual wear marks but overall pretty good cosmetic condition as pictured.
All keys, sliders, high/low inputs and buttons are working.
I don’t know if the volume pedal input is working b/c never used it (never needed it!)
Cord is three prong, all prongs intact.
All modes work (organ, string, brass, piano).
The only thing I ever experienced is some static
ONLY when you move the volume control while you are playing.
If you leave the volume at desired setting, there is no static.
I believe it is just a contact cleaning issue, and can be resolved with some contact cleaner.
Had some great jam sessions on this, on top of my Rhodes piano. Great Herbie Hancock sound
and also great for playing live electronica type stuff!” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.

“All the keys sound and the buttons/ switches work, apart from the ‘percussion’ and ‘solo’ switches which don’t seem responsive.
3 of the plastic buttons have been lost at some point and the vibrato switch is missing (please see pictures).” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“THIS IS MY OLDEST SYNTHESIZER IN MY COLLECTION ( 1979 )
SOUNDS AWESOME FOR IT’S TIME & RUNNING IT THRU A GOOD EFFECTS UNIT MAKES IT AWESOME!!
WORKS EXCELLENT EXCEPT FOR 2 THINGS…..
THE BRASS SECTION WORKS BUT IT IS VERY LOW ( I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO ADJUST IT’S INDIVIDUAL VOLUME INSIDE )
AND THE MAIN VOLUME SLIDER IS SCRATCHY!! ( TURN YOU MAIN VOLUME DOWN ON YOUR MIXER BEFORE YOU TURN THE
ARP VOLUME UP! )
IT HAS DEVELOPED SOME RUSTING THRU THE YEARS ( 30+ YEARS! ) SO REPLACE SOME SCREWS WITH NEW ONES
THE KEYS ARE NOT WHITE, THEY ARE NOW A LITTLE YELLOW….
BUT THIS IS AN ANALOG STRING COLLECTORS PIECE!
AND IT IS AN ARP! (SIEL MADE)
GOOD LUCK!” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“This is the Arp Quartet Synth. One if these just sold for 800 without a case on ebay. The other 1 had metal brackets that acted like a stand on the bottom of the unit, this one doesnt have those brackets. I’m asking less on this one and this one comes with a hard case for it too. Its works great with no issues and is in Very Good Cosmetic Condition. All 6 pictures can be enlarged. Has a few marks, minor dings here and there but really nothing major at all! Was well kept in the case. The case is a very good hard case but the foam is drying out, so you would need to refoam it or by some foam pieces down the line. ” Auction ended. “For sale very rare vintage ARP QUARTET SYNTH made by the Italian synthesizer manufacturer SEIL.These keyboards are very rare as they was only manufactured from 1979-1980 so there’s not many about.Ive had this keyboard since new, when I was bought it I was only 9 so I hardly used it and it has been stored in my loft for years.I am now a drummer in a band and it’s only recently when I decided to take the keyboard to the recording studio that we use for a jam that I realised how good it was.The owner of the studio was made up when he saw the keyboard so much so he used it on his latest album and he wants to use it on his current tour.He wanted to buy it off me but because he has just payed to do his studio up he could only buy it after Christmas. Normally this would be ok but seeing as though I need the money for my own daughters Christmas presents and I’m worried that if he used the keyboard for gigs in the mean time it might get damaged I’ve decided to sell it.The keyboard is in good condition considering its age with only a few scuffs in the wood as shown in the pictures but apart from that it’s in perfect working order. The keyboard needs to be played through an amp or pa system, I normally play it through an amp but when I played it through the pa system at the recording studio it was amazing. After doing research on the keyboard I have noticed that there is not Many of them around anymore and also bands such as portishead use them.” Auction ended. “For sale is an all original 1980 Arp Quartet Synthesizer. The synth is in very good condition for its age, and offers great vintage tones. Sounds amazing, and made in the era before before synth builds were more regulated. Great string sound for any synth rig, or perfect collector synth that holds value. Great sounding, made in italy. If you are looking for a unique and sick ssm chipped vintage ARP. Synth is a very good polyphonic value. Hard to find and can complete any setup.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.

“Here we have my ARP Quartet vintage analogue synthesiser.
This item is offered for sale in good, used condition. Obviously its got a few marks around it, and a bit of light rust where some of the paint has come off the fascia, but all in all considering its age, its in pretty good shape.
I’ve been looking around and it seems quite rare to find one in this condition with all of the switch controls intact, most of them seem to be bent or broken nowadays.
All the keys, switches and sliders work and the LED’s light up when the switches are in the appropriate position.
The sounds are great, especially the brass and string settings.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.

“Classic ARP Quartet Analogue Synthesizer.
Cosmetically this ARP has seen better days. I want to be as honest as possible so i’d describe it’s condition as below average for it’s age – the metal panelling is pretty scratched and the end cheeks have the usual knocks and bumps. A few of the top panel switches are missing but these are actually very easy to fix with a bit of glue and some common sense.
On the technical side it works and plays and most importantly of all it sounds beautiful and warm. I can’t say if it’s perfect because i’ve never owned one before but i have used this on a number of recordings recently and it’s been great. Why am i selling ? Well the bottom line is i just don’t have much spare room so my other gear has taken priority.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“Selling this quite cool, old school ARP Quartet Synthesizer. It was manufactured in the 70′s by Siel. It is a strings synth with brass, strings, organ and piano sections. The keys are in excellent condition for it’s age and all function as do all slides and switches. There are a couple slightly bent slides and there are a couple missing caps on the slides visible in the picture but affects the functionality in no way. Fix if you will. Both folding feet are in great shape and still have the rubber pads. Front panel is in decent shape cosmetically showing it’s age from normal use. The back panel is solid with all original paint but is showing some rust. A good clean and a little love will fix this. The wood is all there but again, is definitely showing its age. The power switch has been replaced. Now for the important stuff. This synth shines when hooked up to an effects processor and is ran through additional filters. It has a very rich analog sound that is very recognizable from alot of classic and alternative music. I have tested thoroughly before listing and ran it through the motions. No accessories or cables are included in the auction. No MIDI. Auction includes the synth and onboard power cord only.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“I am selling an Arp Quadra Analog Synthesizer Keyboard. This thing is a beast, it is basically 4 synths in one, it has strings, lead, poly, and bass and string bass section all with separate controls and can be layered on top of each other. Here is the complete specs of it Arp Quadra Specs I just had it recently serviced, everything works on it except for the aftertouch. If you look at other Arp Qudra’s the aftertouch does not work on them, this is a known issues with these. Once the aftertouch dies it cannot be fixed. The tech that I had work on it works on modular moog synths and if it could have been fixed it would have been fixed, he said there was no way to fix the aftertouch. Another known thing about this board is that if the keyboard is not on a flat surface the membrane can act funny and some of the buttons light up when not pressed, all Arp Quadra’s are known for this. As long as it is on a stable surface it should be fine. I had mine on a keyboard stand and it worked fine. Some slider caps are missing, not a big deal as all it does not affect functionality.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“This listing is for an ARP Quadra vintage analog synthesizer. The unit was just fully serviced. My tech tried to get the aftertouch working but was unsuccessful so please be aware. Everything else is 100% functional and it is in nice cosmetic condition as well.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“This is an ARP Quartet in excellent cosmetic and functional condition for its age. All the keys, sliders, and buttons are original and work. I purchased it from Rogue Music, so it was checked out. The power switch is a little crooked but works fine — probably an easy fix.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“I am selling my wonderful string synthesizer in the hopes of getting moving money together. it is in great condition for its age (30 years old). Cosmetically it is in fair condition, functionally it is in good condition. The only thing is a couple sliders could use a cleaning, they will scratch now and again when you slide them around too much. Please do your research on this machine before you purchase. This is a 70s string synthesizer and used to make analog string sounds (think Air, 10CC, Goldfrapp…even The Cure and New Order).” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.

“Here is the deal: You are bidding on a ARP Quartet Poly Analog synth from the late 70′s early 80′s. I am the original owner. I got it when I was a teenager. I only have the synth. No box or manual. But I do have an electronic service manual I can send you.
The Good: The keys are in great shape, the wood panel on the sides. Overall nice condition for its age. The brass, strings, piano and organ sound great. You can even layer sounds.
The Bad: Everything works except for the vibrato section. The led lights up whenyou flip the switch but does not do the effect. All of the pots have been cleaned with Cramolin professional contact cleaner. The keyboard sounds great. I have not played this for years as it was at my mom’s house. She is selling the house so I had to get all my stuff out. These synths are very easy to work on. I think the vibrato could be fixed for little $$$$ or if you can read a schematic.
The Ugly: As shown in the photos, there is some rust around the string sections switches and the brass section. There is NO DAMAGE under the metal top panel. THIS DOES NOT EFFECT THE SOUND. I do not know what it is caused from. It has been in a closet at my mom’s.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“This auction is for a used item in fair cosmetic condition with scuffs and scratches. See photos for detail. There is some residue on the front of the keyboard. It appears to be from tape. The top corner is badly chewed up and there are several deep scuffs around the entirety, see photos” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.

“TRUE ANALOG SYNTH. I’M A GUITAR PLAYER NOT A KEYBOARD GUY SO BEAR WITH ME ON THIS ONE. BEEN IN MY PRIVATE STUDIO FOR MANY YEARS. LOVE THE SOUND THAT ONLY COMES FROM ANALOG. GOOD SHAPE & WORKS GREAT BUT THE BRASS VOICE VOLUME HAS ALWAYS BEEN ALOT LOWER THAN THE OTHER VOICES AND WILL NEED SOME ATTENTION. I UNDERSTAND THESE ARE VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD TO WORK ON BUT I HAVE NEVER HAD IT LOOKED AT CUZ IT DIDNT BOTHER ME AS I ONLY LIKED THE STRINGS AND ORGAN SETTINGS FOR BACKGROUND TRACKS ANYWAY. BE THAT AS IT MAY ITS TIME TO GET IT TO SOMEONE WHO CAN APPRECIATE IT & PLAY IT!!! ITS A WAIST TO HAVE THIS GREAT SYNTH GATHERING DUST. ” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
