“This synth sounds like nothing else, even if you’ve never touched a keyboard in your life the modulation effects are incredible, and it is with regret we part with it due to lack of space and infrequent use. Beats all of its contemporaries hands down. In VG+ cosmetic condition as depicted with light scratching top bottom front back sides. Modulator speed button looks to have been replaced.” Link
Stufenlos stimmbarer Oszillator inc.
Link
“Wow! Here we have a very rare vintage hard to find Korg 770 in great condition. This thing looks and sounds great! The only thing that is wrong with it, is it has a piece broke off on one key. I have been told you can find a replacement key pretty easy online. If it wasn’t for the key I would almost call it mint. It also comes with the cover. Thanks for looking! ” Link
“Today I am auctioning off my Korg 770 Analog Synthesizer. It works great and looks amazing for it’s age. It is kind of the big brother to the Korg MS-20. It features several unusual features, including: scale noise, external audio processing, traveler control of filters (HP/LP w/ res), and much more. It also includes the beige vinyl cover for it (which it must have sat under, protected, for some time). This piece looks like it came straight out of a time capsule!” Link
“The 770 is a rare early Korg monosynth. It is a happy medium between the Minikorg K2 and the Maxikorg 800DV. It has the early Korg 35 filter, two oscillators (with the terrific chorus and Pitched Noise settings). There are inputs on the back to run audio through the filter or the (incredible sounding) ring modulator. It is more flexible than the K2 and more manageable and compact than the 800DV–it also allows you to invert the envelope voltage to either filter (an awesome effect that the other early Korgs cannot do). The sound of the 770 is rich and powerful–not buzzy or thin as the old reviews declare.
This 770 is in great condition. It works perfectly and looks good. The MS-style knobs are original–this is a later model 770.” Link
“This is a rare opportunity to purchase one of the earliest analogue compact synthesizers – The Korg 770!
Produced in 1975 it is the older model before the legendary MS10 and MS20.
Complete with owners manual, service manual, schematics and patch library this is a rare beast.
PLEASE NOTE – THIS SYNTH IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL EXCEPT THE RING MODULATOR – THIS SHOULD BE AN EASY FIX FOR TECHY TYPES THOUGH SINCE IT IS CONSTRUCTED ENTIRELY WITH DISCREET DEVICES AND A FULL ELECTRONIC SCHEMATIC IS INCLUDED. – IT’S JUST BEYOND ME (ELECTRICAL DUNCE!)” Link
“back in the day I took the keyboard off of this and wired a footswitch to the E note to get the opening note in tom sawyer by RUSH. Sounds crazy but it worked like a cham. It has been kicking around for years since and I dont know if it works at all now. I thought it would be good for parts so it is sold as is. Any ??’s feel free to ask. there is no keyboard with it and alaska & hawaii shipping is a bit more. U.S. bids only please. ok, I didn’t know this was gonna get so much attention so I’d better update the discription. The side panels are gone and the bottom chassis was folded in so it would fit in the back of my road rack. I think this would be difficult to restore, someone who needs internal parts is more what I was thinking with this. I will see if I can find the panels but I dont think I have them anymore.” Link

“This is number 76 of the 770′s that were made in 1976. This rare Univox/Korg synth spent most of it’s life in a climate controlled closet! I am only the second owner. Unit is PERFECT in every respect except for the (repaired) small chip in the wood as seen in the photo. Everything works great with NO static or missing anything! (OK, no manual).
This is a monophonic beast that evolved to become the legendary MS-20″ Link
“es handelt sich hier um ein gebrauchten Korg synthesizer Modell 770
Er ist funktionstüchtig hat gebrauchsspuren altersbedingt aber gut erhalten tasten lassen sich bewegen und regler, sound kommt fett rüber , stand in einem übungsraum einer band, jetzt steht er zum verkauf da die band nicht mehr equistiert, fotos kommen noch, hatte keine zeit gehabt in ruhe welche zu machen. ” Link
“An classic synthesizer from Korg. It was released in 1976, is monophonic. It can make some weird noises largely due to its retro-cool ring modulator. You can also run external sounds through it. Bass, string and lead sounds are ok. It’s got a fast envelope, auto bend, and LFO re-trigger too. An ole’ classic that’s fun to play with and useful if you’re in the mood for buzzy analog sounds.
The tuning is unstable so you are not sure what note you are gonna get hence the low price. I have been using it as a signal processor and filter sweep. Only selling this cus I need space and want to upgrade.” Link
“Here is a NEAR PERFECT
KORG 770 vintage synthesizer!
Everything works, there are no knobs or sliders missing
and as you can see in the pictures, there is only one small blemish in the wood that has been repaired.
No chipped or cracked keys. No gritty movement of the knobs or sliders.
Sounds absolutely amazing. Very little signs of wear on the wood but other than that is cosmetically excellent.
My studio has several vintage synths but I’m just out of room. It has a very unique “Traveler” filter design with stacked high and lowpass filters that can be manipulated together with one hand.
Also features a ring modulator and an external input for filtering external sound!
It is used by Freddy Fresh, Simple Minds, and The Human League
Background: I am the second owner of this unit, and while I’ve had it, it has spent much of it’s time covered and in a smoke-free home studio.
The original owner had it stored for most of it’s life in an air-conditioned bedroom closet in a box. Even though it’s 30+ years old, it has VERY few hours on it.” Link

“You’re bidding on this vintage pre-MIDI synth which was released in 1976. The Korg 770 is a two-VCO, monophonic synthesizer with a 32-note (F-C) keyboard. It can make some weird noises largely due to its retro-cool ring modulator. You can also run external sounds through it. It’s got a fast envelope, auto bend, and LFO re-trigger too. The two VCOs sit at the top of the panel, one to the left and one to ther right with a mixer section between them. The oscillators can be mixed, ring modulated, or one can modulate the other to create FM sounds. VCO2, the one on the right, can also be a noise generator. The mixer includes a switch to choose one or the other VCO. VCO1 can take external input (like a mic or a guitar) and feed it through the signal path. A very nice feature. To the left of VCO1 is the LFO speed knob. Below that is the portamento control, with a switch allowing alternation between knob settings and a fixed port speed. Below VCO1 is the filter section. The low pass and high pass filters are in an unusual, and very useful, stacked configuration, and are sliders, not knobs. This allows you to make intercepting filter sweeps with one hand, and allows you to get to resonance points very easily. The four switches in this section set the ranges for the filters, ‘brightness’, and how much LFO to add to the filter path. To the right of the filter section is the envelope/trigger section. Only attack and ‘singing’ (release) are slider controlled. Sustain is set by a 3 postion ‘x1 x10 x100′ switch. Triggering switch allows percussive, sustain, and hold. Another exciting enhancement in this unit was the final button in this section, triggering. Allows VCO triggering by key, LFO, and remote.Final section, far right bottom, is other mods. Two mods, tremelo and ptch bend. Tremolo does what you would expect, with speed and delay settings. Pitch bend allows up or down bending, knobs for amount and speed. The control this synth offered was amazing. All functions work fine except the mixer toggle switch is a little intermittent and needs exercising. Also, the little metal ring around the VCO1 pitch knob is missing (see picture).” Link
