“Casio FZ-1 1980s Sampler Synthesizer. Condition is “Used”.
I bought this synth for my son some years ago. He never really got into the synth bug, and it’s been stored in the almost ever since.
We’ve decided to sell it as it’s not likely to get used (I have one of these and a rack mount version in my studio in any case).
The condition is overall good – see the photos. I bought it from an older gent who just used to use it as a piano. I don’t believe it’s ever been gigged.
It works fine. The only issues I’m aware of are typical for these and are as follows;
– the EL backlight has failed which means the screen is darker to read than it should be. This is typical for a synth of this age as EL panels wear out. If you’re so minded you can buy replacements, but it means opening it up. It’s still usable without the backlight.
– some of the buttons need more than one push to respond. I suspect this is down to lack of use. This doesn’t affect the actual keys which seem fine.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
