“This synthesizer was used for live performances and in a smoke free recording studio. It was put in its anvil case and placed in storage in 1984. The unit turns on, all of the lights come on and all of the voices work. However, the sounds bleed into one another. This suggests that some caps will need to be replaced due to the bleeding sounds. Arp produced the Arp Omni 2 between 1977 and 1981. I purchased this from Leo’s in Oakland California when they first arrived. This synthesizer was used to lay down some very memorable tracks.
The ARC OMNI-2 polyphonic instrument was used by such bands as Tangerine Dream, The Cars, New Order, Kansas, ELO , Billy Joel , Jonathan Cain of Journey, and the original ShadowGlass. It produces string sounds that makes it very distinguishable. This is a analog synthesizer.
