# ARP Odyssey

ARP, Odyssey @ 30 June 2010

“Up for auction is an ARP Odyssey MKIII. As you can see, it’s in great condition cosmetically, except for one minor flaw described below. I bought this used back in 1987 and since that time it’s been kept in my project studio and has never been on the road. Having said that, there are a few things potential buyers should know before bidding on this item. First, I just recently removed all the original slider caps in order to replace them with a new set. I have yet to put these new caps on; however, I’m including these brand new caps (34 in all, and corresponding to the original color schemes found on all Odysseys) in the current auction. These will be shipped in a small bubble mailer alond with the ARP itself. To put them on you’ll require a good pair of needle nose pliers, a few hours and a little patience. Secondly, the C4 key sticks when pressed down, but the key sounds the note perfectly. Thirdly, some of the sliders (perhaps about a third of them altogether) move roughly, though none are “scratchy; the sound outputhowever, is not affected at all. Lastly, the right leather side panel is slightly bent inward–this is virtually the only cosmetic imperfection on the synth itself. This model has the XLR out and CV ins/outs.” Link
