# ARP Axxe

ARP, Axxe @ 17 March 2010

“Hi: Up for sale here is a really cool synth that is in mostly working order but has a couple issues. This is the most sought after version of the Axxe, the one that has filters that are essentially the same as Moog filters, and brought on a copyright lawsuit by Moog as a result. This synth sounds really crazy, really fat, and really good. It is especially good at making bizarre and wonderful noises, so if that’s your thing this could really satisfy. As far as condition is concerned, the biggest issue is that the noise fader does not do anything. So no white or pink noise comes out (as it should) when you push this fader up. All the other functions on the thing seem to work. I am a guitar player, not a synth guy, so I can’t say for sure that all the functions are working exactly as they should. But it powers up fine, produces plenty of volume, and very complex tones. Every fader except the noise fader works in that it has a clear impact on the sound. All the keys also work just fine. No dead keys or broken keys or that kind of thing. Two of the fader arms are snapped off (you can see in the pics) and a few others do not have caps. Also the sticker that said Axxe came off at some point. Lastly, my guitar amp tech, who also dabbles in synths, cleaned the contacts for me and also switched the wiring on the low and high output jacks. He thought this improved the noise/signal ratio when using the 1/4 inch input. So I guess this synth is a great candidate for a little fixing up or for someone who just wants some amazing vintage synth sounds for a bunch less money than a fully reconditioned Axxe would cost. Look at the pictures closely, and please ask any questions you have. This synth is being sold as is.” Link
