“Rare sequential 2002 plus version- unlike the standard 2002 this has 8 mono outs as well as the stereo pair and most recent os upgraded by wine country. Comes with a number of original sound disks. Serviced by wine country and fully working. In very good condition- some rack rash and slight dink on rack ear otherwise great.

Sounds amazing- crunchy thick 12 bit samples, Curtis filters and resonance. 8 instrument multiple timberal, zero crossing point sample editing, arpegiator- check out vintage synth. Has 8 build in sounds organs, keys etc- these are very usable but it comes into it’s own when you sample.

“Up for your consideration is this classic synthesizer from Sequential Circuits. The Prophet 600. This synth is in spectacular condition, all knobs and switches work perfectly, and none of them are missing. This Prophet also comes with a blue anvil case, which is in great condition with the exception of one broken wheel and the inner foam lining, both of which have to be replaced. This lining will have to be replaced as it is deteriorating due to age. If you do not want the case and would rather save the extra shipping charges, no problem. ” Link

” Here is an almost MINT, Sequential Circuits Six-Trak Analog Midi Synth. It’s in very good cosmetic condition and everything works great. This six-trak has only been used only sparingly in 20 years. The sound clarity and fatness is AWESOME. The keyboard is setup now with all 100 original programs (including sound effects from the movie Aliens). Also comes with the original operation manual and will ship in a hard shell FENDER brand electric guitar carrying case.

If you’re looking for one of these keyboards with almost no wear and no problems – this is it” Link

“-Perfectly Working 100%

-Near Mint Condition

-Recently Serviced in San Jose, CA by WineCountrySequential.com

-All voices, lights, switches, bender, buttons, knobs, outlets and keys work

-Rare, vintage high end analog synthesizer

-Comes with power cable

-Comes with custom LeCover.com dust cover (as seen in pics)

This auction is for a Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 Rev 3.2. This synth has been recently serviced by the professionals at Wine Country in San Jose, CA (some of whom actually worked at Sequential Circuits back in the day). The list of service actions taken is presented after this description, below. This is one of the later models with the rare sequencer extension plugs. This synthesizer was kept in great condition and as seen in the pictures is very clean and excellent cosmetically. The keys are all in a line too which is not always the case with these Prophets. This Prophet 5 is running at 100% functionally and was put through Wine Country’s rigorous 50 hour burn in period where the synth was left on for 50 hours to test longevity of the circuitry. Not many of these Prophets on eBay can claim this and I would be surprised if any of the prophets on here currently could actually last 50 hours of constant power without a capacitor burning out. This synth was serviced in August 2010, and I will include the invoice from WineCountrySequential.com. I will pack this synth with extreme care to make sure it arrives as described and shown here!!

Here is a list of service actions taken on this synthesizer in August 2010:

-Replaced Power Regulator IC

-Replaced Envelope Generator IC

-Replaced VCA IC

-Updated Version Firmware to v9.7 OS ROM (latest and greatest)

-5 hours technical service, troubleshooting, and repairs

-50 hour “burn” test for circuit longevity and reliability (this thing runs great!)” Link

“This listing is for a Sequential Circuit Prophet 600 synthesizer. The unit is 100% functional and it is in mint / perfect cosmetic shape as well. Well maintained in a smoke free studio. ” Link

ARP, Avatar @ 29 September 2010, “No Comments”

“Arp Avatar in very good condition, cleaned and serviced….look’s good and works well

Like you could see on the picture there’s like a little modification in the back…the owner before me added like a plug in the back…the technician that serviced the avatar last week told me that with this plug you could fabric an external box plugged into this and you will be able to control other vintage synth…controls like lfo, modulation etc….Just that the owner before me did not continue with this idea…me neither…I did not bother with this and just played this beast…But you could in case you buy it

This modification does not affect the sound……The amazing sound of the Avatar stays the same” Link

ARP, Axxe @ 29 September 2010, “No Comments”

” ARP Axxe in working condition. It does however still need some repairs and shows signs of use and wear. Therefore, only someone who is familiar with electronics or has access to a competent technician should buy this synthesizer.

1) The power will not turn off. Either the schematic is wrong, the switch is broken, or else. Regardless, I’m leaving this one alone.
2) The pitch bend does not work because it is not soldered to the board. One of the traces to this part will need bypassed due to damage. I have a clear photo of how it should be done.
3) The voice is as stable as can be expected for 35 year old keyboard, however I can tell some components still need upgrading.

I’m selling to help cover repair costs of an ARP Oddyessy. Otherwise I would keep it as it has the Moog clone filter and sounds fantastic.” Link

So becasue of that thi is sold as is .” Link

2600, ARP @ 29 September 2010, “No Comments”

“Ok, here is the story. This is my Original Arp 2600 Synthesizer. I am the only owner. I purchased this in 1971 and it was only used in my home 16 track studio.
The synth is serial number 26173 and the keyboard is serial number 35194.

Now for the story, this was on display in my family room. A few months ago the cat knocked it over on it’s face. All of the modules work, however the top VCO 1 had it’s 2 sliders pushed back into the face plate. The VCO 2 had one of the sliders pushed back as well.
The last time I used it everything was working fine.

It will need these minor repairs. I was going to do them myself but I just don’t have the time or tools to do the job correctly. I don’t think it will cost too much or take too much time to fix for someone familiar with these great machines.

I have the full cases for both units and I will include the Original Manual and The Original Service Manual. I used to do all of the servicing on this synth and it was very easy to tune and keep tuned. I will also include an assortment of patch cords.

I really hate to part with it but I just feel it is time to put it in the hands of someone who can give it the TLC it needs.

This is a very specialized instrument so I expect only serious inquiries and bidders. I do have a reserve on it because I now its real value even in this condition of needing some repair. ” Link

“I purchased this synthesizer from an estate.
I plugged the synthesizer output into my guitar amp and got no sound (I do not know if there are internal fuses?), I am not sure if this is the output I am suppost to use? I do not have a cable to try the main outputs. The power switch does light up.

As for the cosmetic condition:
One of the sliders is missing the plastic cover as shown, all of the sliders need a good cleaning as there is built-up gunk and they do not slide very well.
Overall the cabinet is in good shape for it’s age as shown.” Link

“STUDIO ELECTRONICS MIDI MOOG. MADE BY MOOG AND MODIFIED BY STUDIO ELECTRONICS.

I PURCHASED THIS BRAND NEW IN 1989 WHEN IT WAS FIRST RELEASED BUT AFTER 21 GLORIOUS YEARS I THINK IT IS TIME TO LET HER GO :(

AMAZING PIECE OF KIT WHICH I PRETTY MUCH USED ON EVERY MIX OR REMIX OR PRODUCTION THAT I DID. IT NEVER LET ME DOWN.

IT’S IN GOOD CONDITION BUT DOES HAVE THE MARKS OF REGULAR USE. THERE ARE STILL SOME CHINA GRAPH MARKS ON THE FRONT WHICH I’M SURE CAN BE REMOVED BUT APART FROM THAT THE FRONT

IS PRETTY GOOD. THE SIDES, TOP & BOTTOM ARE PRETTY SCRATCHED FROM RACK USE. THE BACK IS GOOD APART FROM MY INITIALS & SERIAL NUMBER BEING SCRATCHED IN.

I HAVE SWITCHED IT ON AND TESTED IT. ALL THE POTS AND SWITCHES WORK FINE. ALL OSCILLATORS WORK. WAS THE ODD LIGHT CRACKLE ON SOME OF THE POTS.

THERE WAS ALSO SOME OVERHANG ON THE HIGH NOTES WHICH YOU CAN HEAR AFTER YOU LET GO OF A NOTE BUT I AM TOLD THAT THIS CAN BE CORRECTED BY LINING UP THE VCA’S AND VCF’S WHICH CAN BE DONE ON THE BACK.” Link

Emu, SP-12 @ 28 September 2010, “No Comments”

“You are bidding on a SP 12 with the Turbo chip added and sample input mod. You have the ability to monitor the incoming sample source before/while you sample, this is not possible with the standard sp12. All mods and maintenance were done by Bruce Forat. Every output, slider & button works perfectly.” Link

Emu, Emulator III @ 28 September 2010, “No Comments”

“I am selling a used E-mu Systems Emulator III sampler keyboard, model number 6081 and serial number 038464. It is running the latest firmware (2.00) and operating system (2.42). If you are reading this auction description, you probably know why the Emulator III is revered and famous. For those who do not, in short: The EIII is the most powerful digital sampler with analog filters ever produced. The analog processing section has the same analog filters – the Curtis Electromusic CEM3387 – as the Waldorf Wave and Microwave synthesizers, among others. And its famous users include Depeche Mode (on “Violator”) and New Order (on “Technique”).

I am loathe to part with this machine, but am running out of space in my home studio and replaced it with an EIII rack model.” Link

ASR-10, Ensoniq @ 28 September 2010, “No Comments”

“Classic ASR-10 Rackmount Digital sampler. Gritty hip hop vinyl samples and drums. This ASR-10 is in great condition. The only downside is that the last owner gutted the SCSI out of the unit. I have shopped around for a SCSI card to no avail and have been using floppy disks which seem to work fine. Other than that the unit operates perfectly. Little bit of rack rash but in good cosmetic condition. Comes with power cord and 3 boot disks for backup. ” Link

Cyndustries, Modular @ 28 September 2010, “No Comments”

“This your chance to get a Cyndustries Milton Sequencer synth module in as new condition as shown in the pics. It has seen light use in a smoke free studio. This is great in combination with the Analog Switch I’m selling too!

The Milton Sequencer is the coolest analog sequencer ever made! It’s heart is 4 rows of 16 steps (cv values) that can be driven by a clock in the standard fashion, but one of the things that really makes this a standout sequencer is it’s ability to be driven by any control voltage signal…plug an oscillator or envelope into the CV IN and watch the sequencer scan across the values! Drive it with audio rate signals and use it as a 64 stage tunable waveform generator!

It’s got gate outputs at each step, and x/y trigger bus, remote enable mode (think arpeggiator), outputs for each row and more! After purchasing this new from Cyndustries, I sent it back to them to get the trigger bus upgrade so it now consistently outputs triggers.

Easily compatible with Modcan, Serge, Buchla, Bugbrand, etc.”

CGS, Modular @ 28 September 2010, “No Comments”

“The Event Sequencer will sequence audio or control voltages, and when clocked with a high frequency is an excellent 8 step wave shaper (kind of like a DoubleDeka).

The mix control allows an audio signal to be mixed with the outputs. I normalled ~8v to the switching lug of the mix in jack so the mix knob also acts as a transpose control when sequencing cv’s.

I used a center off switch for the direction control. The center position stops the clock. It bounces a bit, but it’s really nice to have a sequencer that can stop.

This module includes the programmable gate bus. Normally the LED’s would be where the switches are. The extra jack below the stage 1 pot is the gate bus out jack.

Module is MOTM / 5U high by 4U wide, requires standard +/- 15v MOTM power supply. Includes power cable and black mounting screws.” Link

DMX, Oberheim @ 28 September 2010, “No Comments”

“This is part of an Oberheim system I am selling for a friend. You will find the OB-8 and DSX in other auctions. The three made up a system that many used back in the day. This is still a great drum machine. It’s in great cosmetic shape and all the buttons and display work fine. There are no beats programmed so that part is up to you. It comes with two drum cards that I assume are for changing all the sounds in the machine, much like modern “expansion” cards. I have not tested them so they are sold with no guarantees.” Link

Bit 01, Crumar @ 28 September 2010, “No Comments”

“This is a very early unit. Great for collectors and players alike. I have one of the later ones in my studio and love it. These are really a great sounding synth. They just sound warmer than other DCO synths to me. save the earlier DK600 which has it’s own warm sound I guess you’d say. The brass and pad and keyboard sounds are really great. Bell piano kinds of sounds are interesting. This has the SSM2044 filters. I’ve tuned it to sound like my other one pretty much. THere are schematics but no tuning instructions that I’ve seen on these. Fortunately pretty stable I think. There’s a tuning pot on back for any drift that happens in the tuning and trimmers inside I had to tweak with and just get a feel for what they do. Kinda fun actually in a way :-)

Cosmetically these always attract scratches on top..probably because people set things on them. But I was able to touch up to make it look really good in typical lighting at any normal viewing distance as you can see in the photos hopefully. Close up you can see there were some pretty good scratches though. At least no rust and it’s all decent enough now. SERIAL NUMBER 27! Very early one and I think they only produced a few hundred maybe with these filters.. ” Link

“These are 9 extra PROMs for the Oberheim DX or DMX drum machine. They are in “like new” condition and never have been inserted into the equipment. Expand your unit with some extra sounds.” Link

Custom, Modular, Oberheim, SEM @ 28 September 2010, “No Comments”

“Up for your consideration today is a custom Oberheim SEM MS1A Modular. The Modules themselves work fine but this is an AS-IS auction. Either you can either go over the patch wiring or you can toss the box, use the circuitry for your own Oberheim project, OR add a reiusse to the combo and you will have yourself a keyboardless TVS! I designed the front panel in Illustrator, sent the CAD file to a laser cutting facility on 3/16″ black anodized aluminum with the added bonus etching the labels. One of the previous owners stripped the paint from the MS1A. The jacks are all 1/8″ switchcraft. If you would like the name of a person who agreed to work on this I would be happy to supply that to the new owner, I just don’t have the time pr patience for a project… even if I am not the one doing the work.

An excellent tech brought the SEM (also added a blue LED) and MS1A back to life and also recapped the power supply. The power supply is from a four voice unit. No buffering was added to the patch points since I just went by what was in the manual that came from SEM manual itself. The patch points were just brought to the front.

In my opinion, there’s four areas that need addressing

1. clock input doesn’t respond although the CV input for the internal clock does.

2. the trig step outputs aren’t properly hooked up.

3. the bottom right hand i/o with the switches for transposition need to be gone over.

4. one of the molex connectors came off the board on the SEM and the three wires were soldered to the board.

All of these I believe are working just need to be fully gone over.

I grabbed the info on the patch points from http://www.angelfire.com/music2/theanalogcottage/sem1.htm and http://www.angelfire.com/music2/theanalogcottage/miniseq.htm

As for sizing, the faceplate is 20″ wide and 15.75″ long with a slight angle to the front for ergonomics. It is in a desktop style enclosure, very solid and functional but I am by no means a craftsman.” Link

OB-8, Oberheim @ 28 September 2010, “No Comments”

“A friend of mine and I share a common interest….we collect vintage synths. I have been selling some of mine over the last year and now he would like me to help him sell some of his. We are people not a corporation. If you are the type to bid and not pay then please refrain from that activity. That kind of thing is just not funny in this economy.

What we have here is the Oberheim OB-8, a true analogue gem. I see hundreds of synths caled “classic” or “vintage”. This one lives up to those words. I put this synth in the class of the Jupiter 8, the Prophet T-8, and the Memorymoog. You can see Paul Schaeffer playing one on the Letterman show to this day.

It is in great cosmetic condition with the exception of some tape on the right side panel(picture 3). I have pressed every button and played every key. I have scrolled through the programs and altered one to check functionality. To the absolute best of my knowledge there is no issue with any of the control functions. I checked the stereo outputs on the back but not all the other inputs and outputs. That will be up to you, as will testing of the midi functions. That’s right. This OB-8 has the retrofit midi(2nd picture). Also included is the Vintage Synth OB-8 rescue tape to reset it to factory values should you choose to do so.

This is, of course, an “as is” auction due to this synth’s age and collector value. No returns for any reason.” Link

Marion Systems, MSR-2 @ 28 September 2010, “No Comments”

It will need repair by someone who knows what they are doing.” Link

Modular, PAIA @ 28 September 2010, “No Comments”

“You are bidding on a used PAiA 8700 Computer/Controller in excellent, working condition. Description: This is the original “polytonic” modular synthesizer computer/keyboard controller! Analog synths met the new digital age way back in the ‘70’s! The 8700 processor is a 6505 CPU system using 1K byes (yes, bytes!) RAM, 1K byes ROM locations (256 byte monitor included), two 8 bit input ports, two 8 bit output ports, one latched the other buffered. The 6503 has the same structure as the 6502 used in the Apple II, PET and other computers of the era. A 24 key touch operated keypad is used by the monitor to allow entry and execution of user programs as well as controlling features not normally found on a single board computer including: a relative address calculator that completely eliminates normally tedious hexadecimal calculation and back-space key that eases entry and editing of programs. Pointer High and Pointer Low keys allow the 8700’s twin seven segment displays to serve the multiple functions of indicating both address locations and data. The unit comes with the CS-87 Cassette Interface Option, the digitally encoded 8782 keyboard and complete set of manuals. When used with one or more 8781 QuASH modules, you can achieve 4 notes or more of “polytonic” synthesis complete with software based envelope generators (see my other auctions). So why would you even want this in today’s MIDIfied, Pentium world? To complete a cool 70’s based PAiA synthesizer, of course. Talk about authenticity! The unit was refurbished and brought up to factory specs by the renowned Scott Lee of PAiA Electronics in 2002. Since it’s been quite some time since I’ve used the controller I can’t guarantee your results. This is not a keyboard for the novice but intended for a PAiA enthusiast!”

“You are bidding on a used PAiA QuASH in excellent, working condition. ***NOTE: I have a second PAiA QuASH available, as shown in the picture (highlighted). I will provide a connector that will allow you to simultaneously combine the functions of both units, allowing for 8 unique voices*** I also have PAiA 8700 Computer/Controller available. Please ask if you have any questions or comments. Description: Quad Addressable Sample and Hold. If you have to ask what this is, this is not the module for you. It only will work with a PAiA 8700 computer/controller w/ the A/D converter to deliver delicious analog “polytonic” sounds! The Quash provides four computer addressable S/H circuits in a single module. It features adjustable glide rate for each channel (selected by computer control), individual trigger “gates” and an individual modulation input for each channel. On-board address decoding allows up to four QuASH modules to be bussed together in a single system for 16 voice “polytonic” synthesis! This module is intended for the true PAiA fanatic that wants a complete and original computer controlled system from the glory days of the analog world: the 1970’s! I have two units and they are being sold separately. ” Link
