“Selling Kawai S-100P preset / programmable synthesizer.

Some parts like aftertouch are the same as in the Arp Pro Soloist

Sounds a lot like a real Arp the low end on this synthesizer is really good!!

Its bass sound is fat round and tight as a Arp.

Has build in spring reverb and flanger effect!!!

Item is in fantastic condition, overall quality is excellent. Aftertouch is very good like new, no dead spots.

Come with original manual, leaflet and schematics.

The Arp aftertouch system makes it very expressive.

Pictures are of actual item.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Item works on 220v.” Link

“Up for sale is the great LinnDrum LM2 drum machine. It was the first digital drum machine, and still considered by many to be the best one in the world.

I took many photos so you can see it from all angles, it is very very clean with some scratches on the very front (hard to see), and some on the bottom. It is very hard to come by these in this good of shape!” Link

“The Model 281e Quad Function Generator has four function generators organized in 2 pairs. All four normally function independently. A momentary switch selects one of three modes: transient, sustained, and cyclic. An illuminated LED indicates the selected mode. On receipt of a pulse, the output voltage ramps up to 10 volts at a rate determined by the sum of an applied control voltage and the setting of the attack time knob. If in the sustained mode, the voltage will stay high as long as the input pulse is maintained. If not in the sustained mode, or when the input pulse terminates, the output ramps down to zero at a rate determined by the sum of the decay voltage and the setting of the decay knob. At the end of the decay, a transient pulse appears at the pulse output. If in the cyclic mode, the cycle now repeats. The time range for both attack and decay is from .001 to 10 seconds. In the quadrature mode, generators A and B (or C and D) operate in tandem to provide functions shifted by ninety degrees. The mode is selected with a switch and indicated with LEDs. An OR function can be invoked to generate more complex envelopes (ADSR). The model 225e or the 206e preset manager can issue commands to store and recall the 281e’s settings. The 281e can respond directly to MIDI signals received by the model 225e MIDI interface.

The Model 292e Quad Dynamics Manager is functionally identical to the original 292, with the exception of two new features – the 292e has velocity inputs, allowing controllers to control note volumes with performance gestures. And its settings can be stored as a part of a 200e series preset. The 292e sports four independent voltage controlled amplifiers. Each has a signal input and output, a control voltage input that varies the unit’s gain from -120 to +3db, an offset adjustment, and a velocity input. The latter adds further control to the gain when employed and becomes transparent when unconnected. A switch selects one of three operating modes: straight gate (VCA), lowpass filter (VCF), or a combination of the two, in which the spectral response varies as the gain is changed. Frequency domain gating imparts a dynamic tonal variation that gives the listener a sense of absolute loudness. This quality is characteristic of all acoustic instruments (the harder you strike, pluck, or blow, the richer the overtone structure). A mix of the four output signals is also provided. Aided by the model 225e or the 206e preset manager, the settings of the 292e can be stored and retrieved.” Link

“The Model 261e Complex Waveform Generator features voltage-controlled modulation of pitch, amplitude, and timbre, and a multi-dimensional, voltage-controlled timbre space. All of the 261e’s timbre processing is performed by analog circuitry, thus eliminating the aliasing that can be introduced by waveshape table driven systems.

A separate modulation oscillator can be synchronized to the principal oscillator or to note-on MIDI messages. Its waveshape is voltage controllable, and can be continuously varied from sine to pulse. The modulation oscillator can track the pitch of the principal oscillator with variable offset. ” Link

“Up for auction is a Crumar Performer Synthesizer. It is 100% functional and has very light cosmetic wear and tear for it’s age. This is the best looking performer I have seen on eBay so far; as they do not show up often. It comes with it’s orginal carrying case that has one broken fastener that you can see in one of the images. All keys, buttons, and sliders work great and do not stick; all keys are level. I have lightly used this synthesizer in a smoke free home studio and to my knowaldge the first owner did as well. I have described this item to the best of my ability. Due to the age of the synthesizer, it is sold as is.” Link

OB-SX, Oberheim @ 31 August 2010, “No Comments”

“Hello, I’m selling my Oberheim OB-SX 6 voice synthesizer. It is in excellent (and smoke free) condition. As you know this was Oberheim’s preset (mine has the full 56 presets) (with some controls to alter the sound) synthesizer which took the famous sounds from it’s bigger brother the OBX.and incorporated them in the SX. It is a gray version which has both CV in/out as well as Filter CV input. The CV in/out works monophonically as you would expect, but is so very handy with other CV modules from moogerfoogers to full fledged modular synths and of course anything that has CV. It also works well as a keyboard controller with my Euro modular (use it in unison mode for this) and the OB’s portamento control transmits to the euro, however the pitch and mod lever do not. Every thing works on this synth and is a real joy to play, and most of all it has that huge Oberheim sound! The keyboard also has a great feel to it, and as you can see from the pictures the keys are level. The Chips (CEM) that are used on the Oberheims are worth alone more than I am asking for the unit. Also to note that the voice boards generally go for $250.00-$300.00 a piece when you can find them…(quite rare)…and this one has 6 of them, so just by the math you can see that even in just voice boards alone I am asking less for what they would sell for collectively. So you get a great CV Controller keyboard to use with other CV products, a beautifully crafted piece of musical history, but most of all a huge sounding synthesizer that only the Oberheim OBX, SX, Xa can give. Lower 48 states sales and shipping only, no returns, all sales are final. Please see my feedback. Also as a side note, I was told when I purchased this unit, that after transport (shipping to me) that the voice boards might need some trimmer adjustments, and I found that this was true. In shipment they can sometimes get slightly off from their proper adjustment. After I received it I just opened it up and took a few minutes and made a few adjustments to the trimmers (via small screwdriver), and it sounded like the day it was made. So I’m just giving who ever purchases this the same advice…you may find that after shipment you too may have to adjust the trimmers a bit, but again maybe not. I’m not a tech, but I looked online for the schematics and found them, and then proceeded to barely rotate the trimmers that needed rotating until it sounded in tune and that was it, so very quick and simple for even a non tech kind of guy like me. I can include the copies that I downloaded to show what each trimmer does. Anyway, I think that’s about it, so I’m going to put it at the going rate because of all of the above. This is one of the nicest looking ones I’ve ever seen, and I think you will agree…the only reason I am selling this is that I just purchased it’s bigger brother and now have to help pay for it. ” Link

OB-MX, Oberheim @ 31 August 2010, “No Comments”

“This is software version 1.04 dated around July 1994. This module has 12 individual outputs.

The truth is, this is a monster module and is truly analog with analog parts and voltage control inside it. It was designed in partnership with Oberheim by Don Buchla, a fine man who clearly had a vision for serious synth architecture and this thing has many knobs and buttons on and looks the business.

There are, unusually 2 LFO’s as well as 2 VCO’s, the usual VCA and VCF. The VCF has extra shaping and control features on it and it is believed, though don’t hold us to this, but it is believed that there are two filters, an Oberheim filter and more interestingly a Moog filter as well. It also has a computer controlled digital display which supplies very useful information about patch data and various control settings including stereo pan positions. The module records data digitally so that it is stored digitally but don’t be under any illusions, this is still a real analog module which has the heart of its sound generation produced by voltage controlled parts which makes it a unique and interesting module.

With its beautiful cream front panel, it looks curiously retro and yet still quite modern in a funky kind of way.

Of course it has midi in, out and thru and can run off either 230v or 115v. The lead supplied is suitable for a 230v supply but this can easily be switched. One other point to note is the output phase of the synthesis is very interesting because it includes a kind of idiosyncratic graphic equaliser which has low band pass, mid band pass and high band pass control.

The serial number is MX001409.

Just in case you think you have seen this listed before, you are right, you have. My husband last listed it in May. What happened was very disappointing. A guy from overseas bought it and claimed when he had got it that it had been damaged in shipping. He insisted we gave him his money back and sent it back to us damaged. The shipping insurance covered the repair and restoration. In fact it looks as though he damaged it. What is important to recognise is that we have had a thoroughly professional repair done to the casing so that it is fine and this has been carried out by one of the UK’s top restoration companies. There was never any internal damage caused and the unit has been soak tested over a 7 day period to ensure all functionality is good. It is good. We did list it as mint in May. Because there is a minor dent in the right hand side of the casing which we can’t get rid of, we are now downgrading the description as a matter of honesty to excellent. The dent frankly can’t be seen if this synth module is rack-mounted. Once again to reassure all bidders, no internal damage was sustained and only cosmetic damage was caused. This has been fully repaired now. The unit is in superb working condition as well as being in excellent cosmetic condition.” Link

“Oberheim Xpander Synthesizer. This particular unit is in good shape. Signal path is clean, displays are bright and everything tunes up. Cosmetically it is in good shape, only real flaw is a slight raise in the front panel on the right in the diagrams. Not really a blemish, more like the outer printed covering has raised off the structure underneath. Minor to be honest. The only minor functional issue is that the first modulation matrix button, one of the lower soft buttons and patch selector 1 button requires a bit more force to register a push, but they all do work. Probably just need a cleaning.” Link

“The Oberheim Xpander, one of the best poly analogs ever made. This is a USA version, that also has an additional 6, 1/4″ inputs on back that allow you to use the filters with other outboard sounds. This auction includes the xpander, a power chord and the original manual.

Everything works great on this machine and everything passes the self tune tests. The only issue at all is that the VCO1 button might need to be pressed several times in order to access the VCO page. Having the filter inputs is a great bonus for this synth as you can get some extra mileage from it by processing outboard analog gear through the xpanders famed filters. Really a nice feature. I’m selling it because for my business (commercial recording studio) the money could be better allocated, and the amount of clients that demand a synth of this quality are relatively low. As much as it kills me, she has to go.” Link

EX-20, Wersi @ 31 August 2010, “No Comments”

“You are bidding on a Wersi EX 20 MIDI Expander. This is a digital synthesizer capable of playing up to 20 polyphonic notes on eack key. Up to four different sounds can be played simultaneously. These sounds are based on a configuration of sound modules. Each voice is entirely independent from other voices and each voice has its own wave, pitch-envelope, amplitude envelope, routing, and volume. The EX 20 also features analog effects to produce fourier, waveform sample, and modular synthesis. The front panel features a set of 16 drawbar sliders for each synthesis mode. You can create your own custom waveform. A 61 note velocity & pressure keyboard can be split and provide up to four different timbres simultaneously per side. The EX 20 is the rack mount version of Wersi’s MK1 Keyboard Synthesizer. Both instruments can ‘see’ up to 16 midi channels for multi-timbral operation, and can transmit on up to 8 channels at one time. The back of the unit features the following connections:

* 1/4″ Headphone Jack
* (2) Two programmable footswitches
* Volume control connection
* MIDI in
* MIDI out
* MIDI thru
* Left/Right/Stereo 1/4″ output jacks

The EX 20 will expand your synthesizer, organ, or keyboard instrument and it’s capabilities into a new dimension of sound and features! With the EX 20 Expander, you have added virtually eight additional keyboards to your present instrument which can be controlled through MIDI from your present instrument, a sequencer, or a computer. This Expander is perfect for not only the keyboard player but also the Hammond, theater organ enthusiast, or the contemporary church organist. Not only does this unit have bank after bank of sounds, you can also create sounds with it using the drawbars.

I purchased this unit new and have hardly used it. To date, I still have not utilized all of the capabilities of the EX 20 Expander. I have used it connected to my Rodgers 820 church organ in my home that has MIDI and also a computer with MIDI. It has only the normal wear commensurate with its age. The unit comes with its power cord and a copy of two complete user guides to help you program and utilize all of its capabilities. I also have an additional ROM cartridge available that is being auctioned off separately. It will also work with other Wersi digital instruments and adds an additional 20 voices to the EX 20 Expander. The Wersi EX 20 MIDI Expander is a digital synthesizer/sound module with significant capabilities! ” Link

Minimoog, Moog @ 30 August 2010, “No Comments”

“I’ve owned this vintage Minimoog (serial #7578) since late 1976 and am its second owner. In 1999, it was electronically refurbished and updated with the Lintronics MIDI retrofit by the best tech in the synth business, John “J.L.” Leimseider. Excerpt from www.lintronics.de/minimoog.html: “The Lintronics MIDI Converter (LMC) is a high-performance MIDI interface designed by Rudi Linhard to place the expressive potential of the Minimoog under MIDI control. The LMC uses state-of-the-art digital circuitry and software and includes an internal, programmable, wide-range, multi-waveform LFO that can be used in addition to, or in place of, the Minimoog’s LFO. Pitch, pitch bend, filter cutoff, loudness, modulation amount, and the internal LFO’s rate and depth can all be controlled through MIDI in real time and with high resolution. In addition, the Glide and Decay functions can be turned on and off through MIDI. The LMC circuitry is contained on a single circuit board installed inside the Minimoog, and uses its power supply.” Note that the Lintronics retrofit is for reception only, not transmission, and has no effect on the Minimoog’s standard operation.

This Minimoog has always lived in an entirely smoke-free environment. It was used in a few outdoor concerts under the sun, resulting in slight warping on the right side of the black plastic faceplate, and the bottom right corner has snapped off. There are minor scratches on either side of the wooden cabinet, but otherwise the Minimoog is in perfect working condition. It comes with Dr. Tom Rhea’s manual, documentation for the LMC retrofit, a 9′ S-trigger cable terminated with male ¼” TS and S-Trigger plugs at either end, and an ATA-rated Anvil case in which I’ve replaced the original, deteriorated innards with new polyethylene foam.

Bid now and win the auction and, along with two vintage 12″ x 5″ Moog stickers, I’ll include a brand new copy of the first edition of Vintage Synthesizers, not only featuring an outstanding article written about the Minimoog Model D by the late, great BOB MOOG himself, but also personally signed by the author SPECIFICALLY FOR YOU!” Link

“For sale, a used Moog brand Memorymoog electric keyboard synthesizer. All photographs and the video below are of the actual synthesizer for sale in this auction. I don’t know anything about synthesizers and I am not the original owner of this one. I turned it on to see if it works (see video above) and cleaned the exterior. I am told by the original owner that this synthesizers has been in storage (in its original box) for the last 15 years. He also tells me that one of the oscillators is out of tune.

Upon auto-tuning, I was only able to get the message “4 TUNED” (see photo) instead of “6 TUNED.” The original owner told me that this problem may be fixed by simply replacing a capacitor in the oscillator circuit, and has highlighted the appropriate component in the service manual. Finally, the memory battery is dead.

I would be happy to check the functionality of any of the other features of this item.” Link

Minimoog, Moog @ 30 August 2010, “No Comments”

“My brother is the original owner of this Mini Moog,serial # 12683, purchased around 1981. I bought it from him in 1992, and it has been safely stored for most of the past 18 years. It had a case at one time, which resulted in some foam from the case adhering to the back of the mini. (It can be seen up close in one of the pictures) It should be easily removed, but I didn’t want to risk scratching the wood or hurting the finish. There are the usual scratches and some discolorations of the finish in certain places, but overall I would consider the condition to be “good”.

The moog has not been serviced, but I plugged it in and played it today (8/25), and it sounds fantastic. I have used it over the past two years in my home studio, so it has been getting some good use. The oscillators are very stable, every function works. A few things to note: the waveform selector for oscillator 1 is missing the silver top on the knob, and the “Amount of Contour” knob is missing a small section, but it is not very noticeable. There is a slight crack in the pitch wheel, but it does not need to be replaced. A simple cleaning of the key contacts and pots would be recommended.” Link

“This Moog Source is used and in great working order. It was sold about a month ago, but returned due to some problems with shipping. Upon return it was looked over by our techs. Its pots were cleaned and a damaged plastic piece that was holding the board in place was replaced. It has been tested out (minus the cassette interface) and given a clean bill of health. Despite the cosmetic damage, it still looks and sounds great. It has a dent on the face. It is nothing that affects button operation. It also has a dented input jack that was probably sustained while a cable was plugged in. The jack works perfectly. Other than that, it just has a few missing screws on the back plate bottom. The case is still solid and not about to fall apart. It is one sturdy synth! Please refer to the photos for details.” Link

“being sold as-is. every key sounds, every knob and slider functions, but to me the oscillators sound flat and out of tune. this will probably need some minor adjusting. ask any questions and i will try and answer them, just keep in mind i am not a tech. if you have any experience working on analog synths this is probably a minor issue. i have no experience with analog synths so this is just not for me.

the synth is clean on the outside and is only missing 2 caps for the sliders in the “mixer” section.

comes with original power source and users manual. will be packaged and shipped carefully.” Link
