This unit was used in a live performance and recording environment and placed in storage in 1988 in its anvil case. The unit turns on and all of the voices work. However, the sounds bleed into one another. This suggests that some caps will need to be replaced due to the bleeding sounds.

The ARC OMNI-2 polyphonic instrument was used by such bands as Tangerine Dream, The Cars, New Order, Kansas, and ELO and also used by such artists as Billy Joel and Jonathan Cain of Journey.

“This is an ARP Omni 2 for restoration. The keyboard has been used in a home studio for the last two years. I was able to play and record the instrument, but it has developed run on notes and other problems typical of a unit that needs the capacitors replaced and the power supply rebuilt.

All of the keys, sliders, buttons and lights work. The input and output jacks are all functional too. Some of the sliders are stiff and a few caps are missing. I intended to repair the unit, purchased some new parts and downloaded a copy of the service manual. They will be included in the auction.” Link

“Here it is . . . The ever rare and elusive ARP Solus. . . A true classic but this one does need a good dose of TLC. My guess is most of the circuits etc are fine but it needs a power switch for starters. . . That alone might get her going again. Some screws are missing. Two of the slider shafts are broken, the rest are there and move alright.

One of the most incredible synths available. It re-defines analog synthesis in a modern synth. Using Virtual Sound Modeling technology the intricate nuances and character of analog synth sounds are beautifully recreated on this amazingly flexible synth.

First of all, it can sound an ARP 2600 or a Minimoog or a Roland Jupiter. This synth is polyphonic and multitimbral, it has a very flexible filter, LFO and Envelope control, portamento/legato, a great arpeggiator and analog-like dedicated knobs for quick and easy synthesizing!

Everything is MIDI’d up and controllable, there’s a great pitch bender and a ‘morphing’ feature. A performance mode allows certain parameters to be stored with a sound such as unison or poly modes, legato and portamento. It is available as a Keyboard, a Rackmount module and as Virtual PC Software.

For sale is rare and vintage Moog Memorymoog 6 voice analog synth. This synth is NOT fully functional and is sold as such. Sold AS IS for parts/repair, no returns. I will describe this synth to the best of my abilities, but there are no guarantees and it may arrive in different than stated condition as these synths are known to have issues with functionality and it’s not even functioning fully right now. Also see the numerous pictures below. It may take some time and money to fix it up nice, but if you get it fully working again you’ll have a monster synth on your hands! That or use the spare parts to fix up your current memorymoog.

Cosmetically – it’s in decent shape. The end cheeks are dirty, the left one has a little paint on it, but the front is overall pretty clean, the bottom is nice, the back is nice and there aren’t too many scratches to be found. There are five knobs with tops missing and 5 knobs broken off. The keys are mostly level and feel fine to the touch.

Internally – it looks fairly clean and looks like everything is in its proper place, though I am no expert on these and can’t guarantee that every component is present.

Functionally – Not fully functional but it does make sound.

Below is a diagnostic test we performed, moving from left to right on the keyboard. When we state below that something works, we only mean so in its most basic sense, as in the knob/button did seem to make a change to the sound that it is supposed to make, though some keys didn’t trigger quite as nicely as others and some buttons require harder pushes than others. Considering that it’s not fully functional and the sounds aren’t always controlled in a normal way, it’s sometimes difficult to assess how well some of the functions work.

The VCA seems to be working, but all the sounds drone regardless of what the VCA section is set to, so it would have to say it’s only partially working and has some issues.

Outputs – master, programmable and headphone outputs knobs all work

Keys: 48 keys triggered. They are, moving from left to right on the keyboard:

With all that said, you can still get some beautiful pad sounds out of this, and certainly lots of strange noise sounds as well.
For most of the patches, the sound seems to be constantly on drone, and the Oscillators aren’t always in tune with each other so it can sound quite dissonant at times depending on the programming/patch you select. If you spend some time programming it though you can get some usable and pleasant sounds out of it as well.” Link

This is an auction for a nearly 40 year old classic synthesizer, the original Minimoog. This one was built in 1972. It is a working machine which has recorded and been studio based for the past 5 years. The metal rear cover is signed by synthesizer legend Rick Wakeman the synth was probably built while he was recording “Close To The Edge”- (photographic proof of signing provided)

The serial number is 2469, and the circuit board is the rich and creamy second revision. The tuning has been stabilised so that hassle free playing can be done after a 15 minute warm up. The S-Trig (CV) has been replaced by a 1/4 inch mono jack. The CV inputs have been modded to allow easier control using a Midi to CV converter. Way back in time the PITCH wheel was replaced by a genuine MOOG mini ribbon controller, making this machine somewhat rare. The Keyboard is the original. The case is in good condition, has been repolished and has a brand new Minimoog badge.

Problems: The occasional “loopy note” is liable with all the old Minimoog keyboard beds… and this one is no exception. I accept it as part of its charm. The lowest few notes on the keyboard are most susceptible. One of the keys has been repaired with a visible mend. This was probably around 25 years ago….” Link

“Up for auction: Polymoog Synthesizer Model 203A, complete with Polypedal Controller and original metal legs.

This one is of the latest generation of Polymoogs, serial number 3795. It actually bears the name Polymoog Synthesizer on the front (instead of Polymoog Keyboard).

This machine has been overhauled extensively. The overhaul includes:

Repairs: this Polymoog has been fixed. It is one of the few around that are 100% functional.

Keyboard contacts have been cleaned and aligned. All seventy-one rubber keyboard bushings have been replaced with brand new ones. All thirty seven indicator LED’s for the pushbuttons on the front panel, as well as their current regulating resistors have been replaced with new ones that are less energy consuming and thus put less strain on the power supply.

All the capacitors on the power supply have been replaced with new ones in order to reduce chances of burn out.

All fifteen hundred solder connections for the polycom and balance card slots on the three motherboards have been re-soldered to reduce occurrence of fuzzy or dead notes on the keyboard.

All eighteen opamp IC’s LM3080AN on the top left and top right circuit boards have been replaced by their modern day equivalent NTE 996. The old LM3080AN is a common cause of failure in polymoogs. The NTE996 is more durable.

All internal adjustable parameters have been tuned and calibrated.

It has been serviced with durability in mind. This is not a guarantee because the Polymoog remains a sensitive instrument that needs care and attention, but the chances of survival for this one have certainly been improved.

Cosmetically it is in pretty reasonable shape. It does show some wear and tear but overall nothing too outrageous considering it’s age. The worst thing in my opinion would be some curling at the corners of the stickers on the left hand side front panel. See pictures.

The Polypedal Controller, model 285A, serial number 1898 PD is working 100% as well and is in good cosmetic shape.

Included with this sale are five spare Polycom cards and three MM5823N frequency divider IC’s to further increase the potential lifespan of this machine.” Link

You will get some really nice warm tones from it, it is very easy to modify and the sequencer is just superb.

A must have addition to any synth collectors arsenal!

This particular unit is in very good condition regarding its casing and operation too with only the back showing a tad more blemishing.A couple of pots could do with a bit of contact cleaner .Please let me know in advance if you wish me to do this for you as I will have to go and buy some;)

It has suffered from the fairly common battery leakage issue but has had no damage to its circuitry that I could find as you can see in the photos below, no contact repair that I could see either so I can only guess it must have been very superficial as it works 100%. there are some traces of corrosion in the battery contacts and I have never used it with batteries as I think batteries are evil, acid leaking, extremely polluting little beasts;)

The unit was sold to me three years ago and I was aware of the happening and has worked perfectly since!

Reason for it being so clean might have been that it was serviced by Roland back in 1983 as the sticker inside the case indicates.” Link

This is an amazing little synth from the 80′s, perfect for those acid sounds and phat bass lines, which I am reluctant to sell but I need the money so it has to go.

It is in 100% fully working condition with all the buttons & sliders performing absolutely fine and with no crackles. Also cosmetically this is in very good condition for it’s age with no crack or scuffs to the casing.

The power adaptor is not included in this sale, however one can be picked up very cheaply or alternatively it will also run off batteries.
