Very rare, how many do you think are in Australia?
The sonic six is a real beast, it’s the most temperamental, beautiful, noisy, harsh, frustrating, rewarding and fun synth I have owned and I have owned many, from Junos to MS20′s and the mighty Roland System 100, the Sonic Six is in a league of it’s own!
To this day still it has modulation capabilities that no other synth, other than a large modular system, can do.
As with any synth approaching it’s 40th birthday (build date of April 1974 on this one) there are some issues.
The X/Y pitch control input knob on the far right hand bottom side is a bit loose and could be replaced however it still functions as it should no problem.
Oscillator A is not sounding however the waveforms and octaves still affect Oscillator B when cross modulating, the manual states that a either a capacitor or a couple of resistors need to be replaced if this occurs, it clearly states which parts are needed to fix this known problem.
It is missing a few slider caps as you can see.
All keys function as they should with no double triggers, the internal speaker works great and is very LOUD!

Incredible, REPEATABLE bass sounds.I had a checkup done a few years back and replaced a few circuits that were questionable including a new Incremental control. I opened up the unit today and reseated all of the IC’s and it tunes great now! Everything seems to be in order. There is a faint high pitched noise when plugged in to a guitar amp but that’s a much higher gain than a line input. I played it all morning and all the keys work great and the touch panel works properly.Super flat keybed! Hate to sell this but I’m just not using it anymore…” Link

The sounds are broken up into 3 categories: Strings, Brass and Organ. Strings and Brass have their own separate VCF filter sections, the Organ section has none. The Opus-3 also has 2 sound outputs for an early stereo effect with panning! It’s a colorful little synth with clearly laid out sliders and is fairly straight forward. It has classic analog Moog sound quality and is a great source of some string and lower octave techno-organ sounds.

“Amazing Vintage MOOG Satellite Synthesizer. Needs a little electronics work that I am not capable of doing. Some of the connections for some of the keys are dirty and when certain keys are hit the tones change erratically. I am pretty convinced this is just bad connections as the rest of the synth works just fine.
Several of the toggle knobs for the filter and modulation controls are missing but this does not impede their function at all (See picture nine). The wood is in relatively good condition with a few minor flaws. It has seen some road action but all in all it is solid.
Now that that is over with lets talk about what it does have. For your filter controls you have contour, color, and emphasis. For modulation there is rate and depth. There is also a glide slider and yoour main volume. For the effects that are the toggle switches in the front you have – 2 octive controls, more modulation including wave control, vib and trem, glide and sustain. Then you have Two brass tones, four reed tones, four string tones, and a bell and lunar tone.
The back has a tuner knob that can be set to any key, an accesory port, a filter control input, a hi and low output and a level adjust.
Serial number is 2174447- model 5330.” Link

“Vintage Moog Minimoog Model D synthesizer, the classic! This one is in serial number 5282, built August 1974 in Williamsville, NY. It is in gorgeous condition, just refurbished and calibrated, all original, free from any modifications, parts swapping, etc.
The wood cabinet is in great condition, with very few (and only very minor) nicks or blemishes. The tuning is stable and adjusted – playing across the keyboard or switching octave registers does not require retuning the oscillators. The keyboard has been completely rebuilt, with brand new rubber key bushings, and it looks and feels like it just left the showroom. There are no cracks – or even scratches – on the keys. (The top 3 black notes look scratchy in the third photo, but that is a reflection. They are perfect.) The keys have been aligned, both vertically and horizontally (no weird gaps between keys), and the key contacts were cleaned so that all notes play glitch-free.
This is a rare instrument in superb condition, ideal for a serious collector or museum. But because it is vintage, it must be sold AS IS.” Link

There is some wear as you would expect of synths from 1979, but considering their age, they are in superb condition. These are both identical units made up of 112, 121, 130, 140 & 150 modules along with the 191-J casing. No, I do not have a keyboard for these, since I was running them both through a Kenton Midi/CV converter. These are 110volt units, so a step down transformer for 240v usage is essential but a small price to pay to have these monsters in your setup. “This is a nice vintage Roland System-100 Model-104 Sequencer. I believe this is from the mid 1970′s. It was part of the Roland System-100 and there are several websites with information concerning this model (and one other for sale in an ebay store). I got this from a friend who had not used it for several years but assured me that it was in good working order when it was put away. It’s been stored for several years and I have no way to test it so it’s being sold “as is” with No Reserve. I have plugged it in and some of the LEDs light up so it does power up. It is in very good clean condition with some normal scratches to the paint and light wear. It appears to be all original and intact including all knobs, switches and buttons. Power cord is nice with no deterioration. All screws are intact and it does not appear to have ever been taken apart. Overall it is in very good condition and although it could probably use normal servicing I’m guessing it’s probably in working condition but again, it’s untested and sold as such.” Link

so its hard to open and close. I use a plastic kitchen spatula. I suggest that you do what I learned to

If you’ve made it this far, congratulations. Please be patient as the 36 very large pictures load below the description. It will be worth it to see the condition from multiple angles accurately. If you want information on what the PS-3100 can do, please check out the video link in which I step through some patches. For additional information, you can also refer to the wealth of Korg PS-3100 resources on the web. If there are any questions concerning the sound or anything else, I will do my best to answer them.
This PS-3100 was professionally tuned up and cleaned in December of 2009 (last month). It was also serviced in Toledo in June of 2004 by a certified repair technician where transitors, resistors, circuits, a trim pot as well as all 18 edge connectors were replaced (please see picture of receipt with the replaced parts and repairs below).
The synth sounds great. All 4 lights come on and work as they should (see picture & video). Playing the synth I noticed no pot related issues when turned. Demonstrations of the wheel, momentary switch, some resonance functions, and general sound sculpting through knob turning can be seen in the video as well. The serial number is 801032. Includes a COPY of the manual on a disc with other materials pulled from the web (videos, product ads, etc…) There are normal nicks and scratches for an instrument of this age, but nothing excessive. Structurally, it is solid with no wobble in the frame or anything loose on the interior.
A few wear items of note which are all visible in the pictures:
* There is some scuffing between the D and the C# tuning knobs.
* Two of the keys have small chips missing. One is very tiny the other is a bit bigger.
* The Faux wood covering has wrinkled a bit on the top.
* There are chips to the wood finish along the edges.
* There is scuffing to the bottom as well as other minor age/handling related blemishes. ” Link

The MS-10 is a cool & classic analog synth known for its great bass and percussive sounds. It was released by Korg in 1978 as an entry-level, simple monophonic single-VCO analog synthesizer. With the authentic look of a mini-modular its single VCO is patchable using standard 1/4 inch patch cords to the VCF and VCA. It really is a powerful little mono-synth with plenty of knobs and a compact 32-note keyboard. It is CV/Gate controllable. A very cool feature is its external input to filter which allows you to filter external sound sources! Following the MS-10 came the double-oscillator version, the MS-20. The MS-10 is used by The Orb, SkyLab, the Chemical Brothers, Astral Projection, Autechre, Juan Atkins, Underworld, Sneaker Pimps, Luke Vibert, JunkieXL, and Add N to (X).

“This Polysix is not only in abnormally nice shape cosmetically (manuals are in ok shape but HEY the patch sheets included in this one too! Don’t see those every day. ) but it’s been totally restored (all weak traces patched in battery area on cpu board, contacts checked and panel switches cleaned AND…. new key contacts! )
As many of you know the panasonic built keyboards in these and other Korgs of those years as well as the Memorymoog, Oberheim OB-8 and others, suffer from contact failure at this age. So it’s very hard to find a really reliable polysix out there. Every contact on this one has a new surface made out of a conductive material that can only be gotten with a military contract. This stuff is AMAZING. Very tough. Under .002″ thick. And the surface reads on my probes about what a new good contact reads! But the material looks more robust than the original. So far great results with it and if a contact ever becomes a problem they can be changed very simply. ( I used to spend hours trying to recondition the original contacts in a polysix. I finally ran into some that just would note get better with the treatments that usually worked. So we developed this solution.)
If you’ve never played with an all analog machine with arpeggiator it’s really..really fun. Machines without the analog envelop generators just aren’t as fun. You’ll see what I mean if you’ve never done it. The polysix is so great though because the vco’s are stable! It doesn’t usually need tuning so they didn’t put auto tune on it. They are just the right amount of variation to give that analog drift that creates a dynamic in the sound. But not so much that you can say ‘hey that note is out of tune!’ Really great machines in that way.” Link

“This auction features a nice condition early Eighties Analog Synth. It has been tested to the best of my ability and seems to work fine. All keys work, but some may need a cleaning. Maybe 4 or five require a bit more pressure to make them play. All controls have an effect on the sound. The chord memory button cap seems a little loose. Cosmetically, it is in very good shape for the age of it. It has a few flaws in the vinyl as should be seen in the pictures. This is sold AS IS. Although it works it IS just about thirty years old. It probably would not hurt to have a shop familiar with these to go though it and clean all the pots and keys.
