“This Korg Polysix is in good shape for its age. This unfortunately is not a mint or near mint example, but its working great and all known problems have been recently repaired:
Korg Polysix’s are best known for their leaking battery problems. The original battery was made to last 10 years after which they can spill acid onto the circuit board. This is what has happened to this one, but I have replaced the original battery with a brand new one of a type that WILL NOT explode and done the necessary repairs to make the synth work properly with it. All the damaged traces have been cut and reconnected on the underside of the board just as originally intended. The IC 31 chip was also replaced with a new one as it had suffered damage from the corrosion.
The new battery stores patches perfectly. I had no problems loading a set of original patches through the tape in connector. I have not attempted to send patch data out through Tape out but if you are really interested I can give it a go, I see no reason for it not to work.
I have gone through and tested all the different editing parameters and everything works as intended. VCO, MG, VCF, EG, VCA, EFFECTS, ARPEGGIATOR, everything is working.” Link
“This listing is for a Korg Mono Poly vintage analog synth. The unit is 100% functional and in nice cosmetic shape as well. I just had the old crummy partical board “wood” case replaced with a new walnut cabinet courtesy of Synthwood in Washington. I also had it gone through and cleaned/calibrated.” Link
“Up for bidding is this magnificent vintage 1980s era hardware Korg Poly800II polyphonic digital synthesizer. Some attractive features of this synth include: the joystick styled pitch bender (horizontal) and DCF and VCO control (vertical); strap connectors on both sides for live stage keytar styled showmanship (strap not included, guitar strap will work fine); many detailed and saveable synthesis control parameters; factory preset soundbank can be changed and loaded using special downloadable soundbank files or even using vintage data cassette tapes which can still be bought on ebay today. MIDI works.
I have loved this keyboard for many years. For the last couple of years I have been controlling it with my FLstudio software MIDI sequencer to give my tracks that extra punchy and unmistakable 1980s synth sound which just cannot be properly achieved with softsynths. I wish I could keep this gem for continued future tracks use but I am currently broke and need to sell it.
Condition: a few light scattered scratches; no power adapter (works fine with a radio schack style power adapter, standard sized 9-volt plug with – tip setting); synth also runs C batteries; buyer please note: one key does not produce sound (Major F note to the left of the Middle C). ” Link
” Works great! some scratches here and there but works awesome and has greats presets!” Link
“Pristine Korg Mono/Poly up for sale. 100% perfect working condition. All keys work, all pots work (scratch free), all buttons, mod wheels, and all functions work. I have owned this synth for about 10 years – but it has had very light usage since I moved to all digital composition. Check out the pictures, and I think you should be able to tell this is one of the cleaner examples out there.” Link
“In good physical condition, there is some oxidation on the ins & outs, has one broken key, actually, it is about to break off, but is hanging by a thread as it has a deep crack. (see last pic) When tested, this unit power up, but only is capable of random sound,when fussing with knobs, it could partially be user error, but something seems WRONG. I think its going to need help. Factor this in when bidding. ” Link
“Hello, I’ve decided to sell my rare NEAR MINT Korg MS-50. As you know if you are looking at this auction, these units don’t come up very often for sale and when they do, they command a high price and are quickly snatched up. This one is in beautiful condition, however I will point out that there are a few tiny scratches to be found and I do mean tiny and only a few. I’m not sure if there is a light in the VU meter, if so it does not light up, but the VU meter works fine when you plug something into it. Other than that, no problems that I have noticed. This is a killer unit and sounds amazing, especially if you have an MS-20 or MS-10 already, however, I’ve used it with all of my other modular gear with great results. So, if you’ve ever wanted one of these, now is your chance.” Link

“Vintage Yamaha analogue synthesizer
Model: CS-5 Ser. No. 8959
Dimensions
Length: 640mm Height: 160mm Width: 290mm
Aesthetically it’s in fine condition apart from the pitch bend plastic knob is missing and the second octave G key is slightly askew (but this dosen’t affect the sound of any other key in any way). The instruments tuning however, is a problem… the sound or note has a habit of defiating or going out of tune then fluctuating back. This will need repairing. It’s a common problem with synths of this period and is fixable. Otherwise, all other functions are in full working order.
The synth has been kept in my studio for the last 10 years and has rarely been played within the last 5 years.” Link
“Up for your consideration this Yamaha Tx216 Rack Mounted Module which contains 6 TF1 dual osicalator programable FM Synthesizers. This unit is in good physical condition and is Guaranteed to arrive in good working order.” Link
“Here we have the king of FM synthesis and one of the “Holy Grails” of vintage synths (in my opinion). The Yamaha DX-1. Only around 140 of these were produced at an original cost of $13,900 in 1985. That is $26,500 in today’s money! This is serial number 118. Yamaha hand selected the finest components available and hand assembled each synth. This is very apparent when you see, hear and play it. The keyboard action is luxurious. It is equipped with a professional wooden, weighted 73 note keyboard. The sound is stunning. I know everyone on ebay says their item is “amazing” but there is something special about the DX-1. I have A/B compared it with Yamaha’s FM plug in board, two DX-7s linked together, and a DX-5 and there was no comparison. The DX-1 has a distinct superiority in sound every time, and it’s not just a subtle difference either. There is a rawness to the sound of the DX-1 that is lacking in other FM synths. It feels alive, like an old modular synth’s immediacy of sound and control. The only way to get the sound of a DX-1 is to own a DX-1 , no software emulation or other synthesizer compares in my opinion. (I have since sold the other Yamaha synths on ebay and received positive feedback for them all) This synth is functioning perfectly and just received a check up at Audio Electronics here in Dallas. Cosmetically it is a 7/10. It has a few light scratches and spots were the acidity of hands has dulled the finish, especially around the volume slider and from taking it in and out of a flight case when moving it from studio to studio. It has been professionally owned and maintained it’s entire life and has been used on countless recording and film scores but over all, it looks fantastic as you can see from the photos, and will stop any vintage synth enthusiast dead in his tracks. Shipping is free within the lower 48 states. International bidders MUST contact me before bidding for an exact shipping quote.” Link
“You are bidding on a Yamaha DX 7 in very good condition, fully operational and fun. I am including the accessory pack containing the swell and sustain pedals and the breath controller, as well as the two memory cartridges (see picture). The DX 7 revolutionalized the keyboard industry, driving many manufacturers (Moog, Arp, Oberheim) out of business. This is a very versatile instrument with multiple sounds and polyphony.” Link
“I’m selling a classic Yamaha DX7 keyboard, the most famous synthesizer of the ’80s. I am the original owner, & purchased this keyboard new in 1986. It still works perfectly. Included are several Data Cartridges, including 2 ROM cartridges, and 2 RAM cartridges, which allow you to create and save your own programs. Also included is a Yamaha list of DX7 sounds (“DX7 Voice Library”), and two cassette tapes (never used, still wrapped in plastic), entitled “The DX Zone” (DX7 Programming Instructions), and “DX Performance Demonstration” (FM Digital Keyboards). A hard-material carrying case is also included. The keyboard is in excellent mint condition, & has never been gigged. It has always been in a smoke free studio, & in storage for the last 5 years. I added some pics of the only blemishes on the board.” Link
“excellent condition rare pro one synth for sale … great xmas present sold as is due to age and how rare these synths are but this one is in excellent condition and a great synth” Link
“I honestly do not know how much of this is working. I have had it for around 10 years and it has been in storage much of that time, and prior to that my memory is a bit hazy. Anyhow, lights come on when you turn it on, and sound comes out of Channels 2-6, nothing from channel 1. Someone prior to my ownership removed the main output and soldered a lead with some phono jacks on the end into it. Its seen better days, with some evidence of rust, around the edges of the case.” Link
“In very good physical condition, it had some holes drilled into bottom as it had a special theft-proof plate attached to bottom which we took off. Powers up and makes random sounds, but no response to keyboard, and erratic in behavior. Needs psychological help. Its gonna need some tech help, but certainly going to be worth it!” Link
“This Sequential Circuits Six Track is in very good condition. There are a few marks here and there. Overall, it looks great, functions perfectly, and sounds fantastic! Comes with a power cable. The manual is lost. No other accessories are included.” Link
“Up for auction I have this Sequential Circuits Split Eight Analog Synthesizer in good condition both cosmetically and functionally. There are a few nics and scratches from use over the years, but overall it is in good condition. I did test all keys, and several of the presets. Everything appears to be working perfectly. As I am not an expert with these types of synthesizers, I’m not sure how to go about doing a thorough test, but as stated, everything that I have tested so far works perfectly.” Link

“Great condition ARP Pro DGX (the last version of the ARP soloist. Very rare. The synth is cosmetically in very good condition however it does not power up. I am informed that it was working perfectly until very recently. My original intention was to repair this but due to unforseen financial circumstances I’ve decided to sell. (please see my other auctions as well).” Link
“Very nice ARP Axxe vintage analog synthesizer. This is the later version with the PPC (Proportional Pitch Control) pads. This synth has recently been serviced and works and sounds great. All the keyboard bushings have been replaced with new bushings and properly lubricated so the keyboard action is excellent. It is in very good cosmetic condition with the normal amount of scratches that are to be expected from a 30+ year old instrument. The leather end caps are in good condition and the bottom keyboard contact protector is intact. The slider caps are not original but look very nice and fit snug to the sliders. All sliders have been cleaned and properly lubricated. This synth has been fitted with the LFO free-run mod. Normally the ARP Axxe will reset the LFO every time a new key is pressed. This mod can switch off that LFO retrigger. This mod allow very expressive and smooth filter sweeps. This item is ready for the stage or studio! A power cord is included. ” Link

“Vintge digital synth from 1986 – Power cord included. This synth has a unique sound checkout the info on the web I included 1 link but if you need more info Google it.
Deficiencies: in the pictures you can see that the knobs for volume and chorus are missing. The battery cover on the bottom is missing. These do not affect performance you can still move the volume and chorus sliders easily with your fingertip. The batteries stay in place user preset memory is retained.
The only problem is when chorus is set all the way to the left “off” position you get a lot of distortion – back off just a hair and it dissapears.” Link
“In excellent condition, some scratches here and there. Works great!” Link
“Cosmetically in very good condition, very clean unit. HOWEVER, it appears that its needs some work. Upon powering up, the display read normally, but then that distinct burning electronics smell assualted my senses and a trickle of smoke emerged from the unit. I turned the unit right off. See picture #11 for the trouble area. All other areas are clean. So this guy is going to need a little help.” Link
“In excellent condition, appears to be working. It powers up and the readouts are clear and buttons are responsive, but we have not further tested it.” Link
“Works flawlessly. The rack panel ears are slightly bent (see photo), otherwise, condition is very good.

Same synth architecture as the Matrix 6.
Each individual 6 voices have two DCO’s (digitally controlled analog oscillator), a low pass filter, 2 VCA’s, 3 envelope gens, 2 LFO’s, and 2 ramp gens.
All of the fat, huge, sounds of the Oberheim in a one rack space unit.
Huge assortment of lead, bass, pads and EFX patches.

” In great working and cosmetic condition. Comes with plug. The only issue which is a minor one is that the middle snare button is really sensitive. Other than that everything works perfect. I had it serviced. Cosmetically it is in great condition. Just a couple of surface scratches. This drum machine has been used by countless Old School Rap and Funk musicians from Prince Paul to Daft Punk. Don’t sleep on this piece of historical music gear that will bring color and grit to your soundscapes. ” Link
“OK, Take Two! This is a no reserve auction. Up for auction is one Oberheim OB-X Analog Synthesizer, serial number 794102. This is an 8 voice unit as can be seen in the photos, 4 voice cards with 2 voices each. This unit has seen better days. I acquired this synth during the summer of 2000 and it was not working then, but it did power up. I put the OB-X in storage for 9 years in a shed in my backyard with the intention of fixing it someday, then I got into acoustic music and that day never came. I had a Roland JUNO 60 for my synthesizer fix in the meantime. Unfortunately, I neglected to cover the unit while it was in storage and a mouse took up residence inside it. Our little friend made a nest of straw, bits of fabric and plastic directly on top of what I now know to be the control board. Apparently, mice don’t mind nesting amongst their own feces and urine because the control board surface was coated with both. I took some photos of the control board and you can see that some ICs and solder trails are thoroughly corroded, I believe the control board is beyond repair, but I could be wrong, maybe it could be stripped and redone, all the parts are there. The good news is that the mouse didn’t crap on the CPU which is mounted above the control board, so it looks ok as well as all 4 of the voice cards, it was just too cramped for our industrious pal to get in that area. You can see in the close up of one of the voice cards that there is no corrosion and it’s fairly clean. You can also see that some of the spring clips where the wire harness plugs into the voice cards are missing, I’m not sure if they weren’t there to begin with or if I lost them when I removed the cards for cleaning. The voice cards are the “A” version without the built in LED, but apparently you can get a kit to install your own LEDs on the cards. I’ve learned a lot about this synthesizer, mice and how to properly long term store things over the last week. One other thing is that the “HOLD” button is missing, you can see that in a photo as well, but the LED is there. Everything else is all here, the power supply, the wire harnesses, the keyboard, the wooden side panels, the voice cards, the mother board, the control board, all of the pots, the heat sinks, so there’s plenty of parts here for restoration.
I sincerely appreciate the eBayer who pointed out that I had been misinformed because they were right, I had been! I apologize for promulgating misinformation, the truth is that there is one voice per card on the OB-X and as you can see in the photo I just posted, this unit has 8 voice cards, 1 – 4 on the bottom and 5 – 8 on the top. From going back in there, I can tell you two more things, the first that this is a true piece of American craftsmanship and ingenuity, my hat is off to Tom Oberheim. But all of you “watchers” already know that. I love the hinged posts that mount the circuit boards. Second, this thing seriously smells bad. I don’t know how that mouse could stand living in there. Maybe there was a whole family and there must have been because mice are not solitary creatures, if you find one, there will be several more to follow. As I said before, Tom Sawyer turned out to be a mouse, so although I have been able to remove most of the organic debris, I’m sure that some will remain for the lucky winner of the auction.” Link
“Up for the auction is the ultimate legendary polyphony analog monster Matrix12,this is not just THE BEST,this one is also got fully serviced,tuning,restored,recalibrated by tech to make sure everythings work 100% perfectly fine and in tip-top condition,guarantee to last for another 20+years!!
There is no way to describe the sound and sonic possibility of this one,i used this on many of my studio project,that included tons of TV commercial and movie soundtrack,and i also owned and used tons of BEST analog/digital synthesizer out there,i can guarantee to tell you that with the Matrix12 the only limit is your own imagination!! any desirable synth sound,no matter analog or digital,straight or weird,softy of noisy,all of these you can easily achieve with this 12 voice monster machine anytime. Here’s some user agreed with that: Vangelis,Herbie Hancock,Harold Budd,Alan Holdsworth,Micheal Hoenig,Jens Johansson,Van Halen,The Orb,Sky, Ian Underwood,Boris Blank,Michael Boddicker,Steve Lipson,Jason Miles,Scritti Politti,Dreadzone,Electronic Dream Planet,ELP and many other i forget to mention but you can find them on the net.
This Matrix12 is the latest 1.1 version,this is the software that all regarded is the best and most reliable one you can get. It’s multitimbral and 12 voice polyphonic, It’s got oscillator sync and frequency modulation which many synths from that time didn’t have. The filters are its greatest strength – there are quite a few modes to choose from – different types of lowpass, highpass, bandpass, notch, etc…tons of envelope generators and LFOs, tracking generators, ramp generators, etc. Thanks to all its options, this is a great synth for the serious synthesist. Or, if you get tired of create the sound yourself you can use the preset sounds. you can recognized all of its sound immediately you heard from records and movie soundtrack,no matter since 80′s to present.” Link
: THE AX73 IS IDENTICAL TO THE RENOWNED AND MUCH SAUGHT AFTER AKAI VX90 EXCEPT THAT IT HAS THE ADDITIONAL KEYBOARD, OTHERWISE, THEY ARE THE SAME SYNTH. THE FRONT PANEL AND REAR CONNECTIONS ALSO BEING THE SAME ON BOTH UNITS. I WILL INCLUDE A COPY OR PDF OF THE ORIGINAL OPPERATORS MANUAL AS WELL.
THE BOARD IS IN VIRTUALLY PERFECT CONDITION, NO OPPERATIONAL PROBLEMS AND, MAYBE A COUPLE OF UNNOTICEABLE MARKS ON THE OUTSIDE.
I HAVE 3 OF THESE AND HATE TO LET THIS GO, BUT FOR NOW, I MUST. I AM SELLING THE BEST ONE .. THE ONE ON TOP OF THE RACK IN THE PHOTO SHOWN” Link
“Classic Akai AX80 analog synthesizer. Everything works as it should, recently had a new battery installed, sounds great! It does have some wear and tear (scuffs and scratches) but it is only cosmetic. What you see inthe picture is exactly what you get. This is a great and easy to program synth. If you’ve never seen one in person the programming display is really cool looking, turn off the lights!” Link
“Up for bid is the AKAI AX80 PROGRAMMABLE POLYPHONIC ANALOG SYNTHESIZER in very good cosmetic condition. Check below for review from vintage synth.
FUNCTIONALITY: Great working condition. All leds, controls, membrane button panels works great. Tested and fully functional. Everything works!
PHYSICAL CONDITON: Minor scratches,scuffs, small dings.small paint chips. The original owner imprinted what appears to be a license# on the rear back panel (see pix). Overall it’s in very good shape.” Link
“Up for auction is my EDP Wasp synthesizer. I have owned it for about 7 years in my pet/smoke free professional studio, with minimal use. It is fully functional and is in beautiful cosmetic condition. It has no nicks, cracks, or noisy pots. The internal speaker works perfectly and is not blown out. On the bottom side of the synth there is one missing screw from the battery cover, and one missing rubber foot (see pic 3 of the bottom view). That’s it.
Accessories: Included with it is an original copy of the owners manual and a 9V DC/120V AC US power supply” Link
“Up for auction is another rare bug of the EDP family, the Caterpillar. It is a 3 octave controller for EDP synthesizers. It has four ports on the back for controlling up to four EDP synthesizers via 7 pin DIN sockets. The two controls on the front panel (as seen in picture 2) are for 1. selecting how many devices you want to control (1-4 or Voice setting). 2. Selecting Unison, Poly or Cycle, there is also a separate Hold setting that gives you the option of also selecting Unison, Poly or Cycle. The rest is pretty straight forward. The unit powers off of a single 9V battery which I just replaced.
Note:
There is a design flaw with the Wasp circuitry that does not allow the lowest C note (first key from the left) to trigger the Wasp. However by the time EDP designed the Gnat they fixed this problem and the lowest C note will trigger a Gnat. I have tested this personally as I also own an EDP Gnat synthesizer (test not shown in demo video). Other than that all of the rest of the keys and functions for the Caterpillar work properly. You will see it tested and in action in my online web demo video.
Condition:
The Caterpillar is completely made out of wood. There are no major chips or cracks. However it does show some wear (nothing major) given it’s age, and what it is built out of. There are two small screws missing from the bottom panel (they do not affect the integrity of the build of the unit) and three of the rubber feet are missing as well (see picture 4). There is no manual included as one never came with the unit.
Sold As Is.” Link
“Moog Prodigy Analogue Synthesizer nearly immaculate condition. Having to sell to resolve financial difficulties. Any questions please ask.” Link
“Early production MiniMoog analog synthesizer. Serial number 2281. Dated 1973 on the inspection tag inside, ’73 date codes on the pots.
Very good plus condition. Area of wear on right rear side corner and along adjacent rear edge. A few very minor scratches on cabinet, some rusty screws. There’s a missing factory tag of some kind on the back. The blue rocker switches show some color fading/yellowing. (See photos for details.) I’d rate it about a 7 or 8 on a scale of 10 cosmetically.
I’m not a keyboard player or a synth expert, but I’ve checked this unit out thoroughly and it seems to be in good basic working order. All keys work, and the synth seems to play pretty well in tune, although I haven’t compared each note to a tuning fork or electronic tuner to check.
Some of the six rotary switches in the Oscillator Bank need to be sprayed with contact cleaner, they’re kind of intermittent. A few of the pots could stand to be sprayed out too, but they’re pretty good as they are. Looks like quite a task to get in there and clean them, so I’ll leave that to the new owner. The power cord’s outer jacket is dry rotted…the inner wires’ insulation seems OK, so no need to worry about plugging the unit in, but the cable definitely should be replaced.
All components on the circuit board appear to be original. I’m sure the unit would benefit from a tune up by a competent technician…I haven’t had a tech check it out either. I’m pretty sure it’s never been serviced in its thirty-seven year lifetime!
U.S. 110-120 volt model.
Works as described, but sold as is due to its age since old electronic components can fail. No refunds or price adjustments.” Link

“Moog Satellite vintage analog synth synthesizer Moog Satellite (Model 5330) Vintage analog synthesizer from around 1974
Get youself a little bit of real vintage Moog without pawning the rest of your studio off.
Don’t let what others have said about the bass fool you – this is a bass MACHINE. I used it on plenty of recordings just for its awesome BASS. Choose the lowest octave (2 octave switches down) and a simple sound – or none, it still puts out a tone, and play. Mess with the Contour, Color (filter cutoff freq – pull it way down) and Emphasis.
There’s other good things on it if you mess around, the tone is fat, and has that old character that must come from the old caps, resistors, transistors, etc. They are made way differently than what is done today. Hook up a delay and jam.
It won’t replace your standard thousand knob modern synth, it’s to fill around that, they were still figuring out what the standard was back then, what musicians wanted. Now we’re all rocket scientists.
Just to back up what I’ve said and let you form your own opinion, here’s 17 minutes of testing on soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/mutron3000/moog-satellite
This is old, some things aren’t perfect:
Three of the switches are broken, still useable (see pics).
The 7 sliders are missing their caps (to left of keyboard).
Some of the lowest and highest key contacts are a bit dusty, needs cleaned, playing them worked well enough for me. And from the pic you can see a key that sits up. Not sure what did this, didn’t get in my way.” Link

“Up for auction is a rare vintage Moog System 55 synthesizer from the 70’s-early 80’s. Back in the late-90’s I wanted to start my own studio but never got around to it which is the reason I originally got this synthesizer for. In the meantime I’ve had this in storage for more than 10 years and decide to sell as I’m a guitarist who’s no longer had plans to uses it any more. I’ve originally acquired this from a partial trade from some keyboard player who used to be in some prog rock band back in the 70’s. The unit contains the following modules:
* 902 – VCA (2 inputs, 2 outputs, 3 CV inputs) x 5
* 904A – low-pass VCF (24 db-per-octave, considered the classic Moog filter)
* 904B – high-pass VCF
* 911 – ADSR envelope generator (adjustable from 2 ms to 10 sec.) x 5
* 911A – dual trigger delay
* 914 – fixed filter bank (12-band, 125 Hz to 5 kHz, with high-pass and low-pass knobs)
* 921 – VCO (1.01 Hz to 40 kHz)
* 921A – VCO driver (1 volt per octave)
* 921B – VCO (more stable than 901B)
* 923 – noise, high-pass and low-pass filter
* 992 – control voltages (illuminated red or blue switches linked to the 904A)
* 994 – jack multiples (duplicates voltages)
* 995 attenuators
* CP2 – CV and trigger outputs, and filters
* CP3A – mixer (illuminated switches linked to the VCOs) x 3
* CP8A – power switch (Moog 35 and Moog 55)
I have a friend who knows about these units recently tested this unit and said that it checks out excellent. Everything powers up and appears to be doing its thing. It has been well preserved in its blue custom anvil case in excellent which is included with the unit. Both cabinets are in superb condition and don’t appear to ever have been modified/refinished which both have the same production date and serial number. There are no patch cords or keyboard controller included with this auction (I’ve never received them). Due to its age there are no warranties or returns with this unit. I’ve described everything as to the best of my knowledge as possible. Though I’m a guitarist whose no expert on Moog’s, I do have some knowledge on them and be willing to answer any question as best as possible. Rare module synth that will only go up in value as time goes on. Hate to see it go but how often do you see an original System 55 on eBay or anywhere else.” Link

“This is an as-is synth that plays well and yes, both of the oscillators work.
1. It is missing three knobs and eight slider switches
2. There are noticeable cigarette burns (from the previous owner)on five keys
3. The wood grain on the left side is showing wear
4. The knobs have a little static when moved so the pots could use a cleaning
5. The left side of the knob/switch board could use new screws to hold it flush to the chassis but are not necessary
This synth has a lot of potential for someone who wants to fix it up. It is great for live performances or studio recording.” Link
“Micro-moog analogue sythesizer. Pure (fat) Moog Analogue Synth with 32 note keybed. Total analogue control. Three oscilator (third oscilator is a LFO that can modulate the other two osc’s), Moog filter, and filter can be externally accessed thru a hi impedance input.” Link
