Serial # MP4 379631

Fully working order ! !

A cool analog monophonic/polyphonic from Korg. It has 4 VCO’s which can be shared in 4-voice Polyphonic mode, or linked in Unison for a versatile monophonic lead. Each VCO has its own level, tune, and waveform type control. Waveforms include sine, sawtooth, Pulse Width, and Pulse Width Modulation. It has a great VCF filter section as well as 2 envelope generators (one for the oscillators and one for the filter). There are also 2 individual LFO’s which can be used to modulate the Pulse Width, envelope and Arpeggiator independently.” Link

polysixc “I am the original owner of this wonderful synth. It has been sitting in a flight certified anvil case in a moderate-temperature garage for many years. It is cosmetically almost perfect, with hardly any scuffs or scratches.

It will need some internal clean up work. The battery will need to be replaced in order to remember programs. Some dials produce noise when turned, and some keys need to be pressed twice or held down for a while to produce a sound. After it has been on for a while it works somewhat better. A thorough inside cleaning should solve all this. Old Crow’s Synth Shop has detailed descriptions: http://www.oldcrows.net/~oldcrow/synth/

The various tone modulation systems all work, such as the arpeggiator, octave doubling, chorus and phase effects. The original owner’s manual is included.

Here is some general info on the instrument, copied from the web:

At first glance it looks like a scaled-down Mono/Poly, but really it’s not! In fact it had a lot of great new features such as 32 memory patches, 6 voices of polyphony, cassette backup of memory, even programmable modulation effects and Chorus, Phase, Ensemble!” Link polysix3ckorg6c2

EX 800, Korg, Moog Slayer @ 26 September 2009, “No Comments”

ex800moogslayer “Up for sale is a vintage Korg EX-800 Programmable Polyphonic Synthe Module. This is essentially the rackmount version of the Poly-800. I have modified this synth with added control knobs for Filter Cutoff and Resonance (known as the Moog Slayer Filter Mod) as well as a knob to modulate the filter’s frequency via DCO 1 (known as the FM-800 Mod). This unit is in very good working condition. The filter mod sounds amazing and makes the unit capable of some serious speaker-blowing bass. The WRITE button needs to be pressed/tapped hard to register, but still functions. Number keys are a bit sensitive, but work just fine. Some blemishes & discoloration here and there, but nothing major. I have recently replaced the internal battery, so most of the patch bank is blank except for a few that I have programmed and saved since replacing battery. The new battery should be good for a few years. I do not have the rack ears or manual for this synth. I will include a compatible Radio Shack power supply.” Link

korgpoly800 “Modified Korg Poly 800 synthesizer:
This item is a great working condition Korg Poly 800 synthesizer professionally modified by Class A Electronics, LLC/Diabolical Devices. This is a cool synthesizer because the VCF (filter) is actually analog. These have a great 80′s/Video Game sound. We have added the popular “Moog Slayer” mods which adds hard wired controls for VCF Cutoff and Reso. We have also added a VCF audio input with level control and Blue 7-segment displays.
This synthesizer originally retained patch data using D cell batteries that go into the back. We have added a lithium battery to the mother board, the D cells will still power the keyboard if desired (no batteries included). Right now there are only the patches I created to test new battery and mods. There are some great 3rd party editors for this keyboard that allow you to create patches on your computer. There are a couple of discolored spots on the case (see pics) otherwise it’s in great physical condition.” Link

The voice works fine, it’s just the little bulb inside the switch that is not in service. It is in very good cosmetic condition with some scuffs to the outside of the case. There is no aluminum support stand (which we understand was flimsy anyway). To make up for this we will contribute an extra-sturdy QuikLok WS-540 monitor stand, which is capable of holding the heaviest equipment (and upon which this synth has sat during our ownership). It does not have a flight case or a lid. The little music stand that may at one time have come with it has gone missing. We have had this synth for at least a decade. We no longer have room for it in our ultra-crowded electro-acoustic music sound stage. We are trying to create additional floor space to make it more practical for actual band rehearsals.” Link cs80_2cs80_3cs_80_4

This has involved over a years worth of testing where the multi trak has been off for most of that time so I can test the patches I have made remain in their stored location unaffected. They indeed have but it was frustrating not being able to play the dam thing :o )

Also included with this sale along with the step down converter and the genuine Wine country sequential power supply is a plethora of documentation.

This includes the operation manual, the Midi Guide, yes it has midi. the CN615-1 Multi-trak instruction Card which is essentially a quick reference card to save you running through the manual so much this is also paired with an A3 fold out card which show the functions of the front panel controls.

And last but not least is the original Sequential circuits Warranty card. This card is a little bit tatty now but I don’t think you will actually be making much use of it eh?

sci p5 “Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 Analog Synthesizer. Model 1000 Rev 3.3. Serial # 1000-5732. Mint working condition.
Serviced by Wine Country Sequential in San Jose, CA within the past 30 days. No flaws other than a couple of minor
surface dings (see photos) and some scratching on the underside of the unit from rub wear against a keyboard stand.
Purchased brand new in the mid 1980′s. One owner. Very rarely played in a home studio only. Includes power cord
and operation manual. This unit does not have the optional midi modification, but it is capable of taking that
modification.

The unit went through a thorough diagnostic check at Wine Country Sequential in August 2009, by some of the original
technicians from Sequential Circuits. The back-up battery was replaced and a new RAM IC board was installed, along
with the original 120 factory preset programs. All 61 rubber keystops for the keyboard were replaced with new ones.
The playing action is beautifully liquid now. A regulatory reliability modification was also done (regulator
connection was reinforced with J-wires to prevent damage during transport). This was highly recommended by the Wine
Country technician.

This unit looks, sounds, and plays phenominal. It has the following features:

* 120 editable factory presets with incredible sounds ranging from pianos and organs to string and brass instruments
* 5 polyphonic voices (each voice contains 2 voltage-controlled oscillators)
* Separate pitch and modulation wheels
* Analog (5 pin) and Digital (4 pin) system interface connection jacks
* Four jacks for monophonic digital sequencer interface connections
* Release footswitch jack
* 115V electric supply” Link

Plenty of info about how great and punchy they are and how totally raw and fat the oscillators are, a singel voice of a prophet 5? no way! Much better. Anyways this is a nice synth, it is a jwire keyboard and all the keys work but there are a couple that need to be leveled to the rest of them and some double triggering so the keyboard action needs some work. This is common on these boards and not a big deal to fix up because it is a jwire baord. Both oscillators work great and overall nice condition there is some wear on the face but it’s a nice synth and wood ends are pretty nice. All switches work and everything pretty much works fine oscB knob is a little scratchy but still works.” Link proOne-2

No A/C Adapter, Monitor, or other accessories, over 20 thousand dollars when new in the 80′s. Asking $2500 or best offer. This keyboard is for knowledgeable collectors of vintage keyboards who can appreciate the historical significance, not to mention the unmistakable Fairlight sound. Very nice condition. Looks like it stayed it’s whole life in a private recording studio. Great as a performance instrument, spare, or for a parts unit. I do not know if the unit works though. I don’t have the any of the accessories. But the unit looks well taken care of and came with the road case, so I assume it is a viable unit, but I don’t know if the keyboard is functional. The inside of the road case is very clean, no mildew or other signs of antiquity. The keyboard came from the sale of a recording studio and it’s contents. I inquired about the accessories and was told that this all there is, the unit itself and the road case.

The action on all the keys seem to work fine. I tested each key individual and none of them stick and the action seems normal. No issues that I could detect. I have owned 7 weighted keyboards of various makes so I would know if there were any problems from a physical stand point. I am an experienced buyer at estate auctions and my hunch tells me that unit most likely works, judging from the overall condition which is very good, and the inside of the case which is clean with no musty or mildew smells and the foam looks relatively new. It’s withstood the sands of time quite well.” Link

One of 485 ever built, and experts estimate perhaps half of them still exist. To describe it as “RARE” is stating the obvious!

Works well and sounds very nice. Beautiful traditional Theremin Tone

Condition: Amazing for being 80 years old. The electronics appear to be all original with no obvious mods or repairs. The wood cabinet of the Theremin appears to be the original finish and displays well for its age, although one back door has some warping. The speaker has an obvious grill cloth issue, but cone seems okay. AC cord is brittle. ” Link

It uses CV gate ins and outs for connecting. You can get CV to MIDI converters if you want newer gear to join in the fun. It’s Especially wonderful if you have older analog gear like a Minimoog, OB8, OBXa, Jupiter-8, Arp Odyssey, Modular synths, etc.

These synths appear on Ebay once in a blue moon. But now you have the very rare opportunity to bid for two of them together (they will not be offered seperately)
The first photo shows the Kitten that I have modified (Kitten One), The second is the un-modified Kitten (Kitten Two). They have both recently celebrated their thirtieth birthdays!

I have had Kitten One for about 17 years…. I modified the LFO section by adding a switch so that it can go faster (for ring modulation effects.) I also added a switch so that the waveform could be Sawtooth Up or Sawtooth Down…

I also added an old Maplin ADA Digital Echo kit, which I incorporated into the front panel and the rear patchbay…

I’ve had Kitten Two for the past five years, I originally bought it for spare parts but decided to repair it instead. This includes replacing all of the capacitors on the oscillator PCB and most in the rest of the synth. It also has a NOS (New, old stock) SSM2040 filter chip (Google it!)

Kitten One has also had many of its capacitors replaced.

Cosmetically both of the Kittens could do with a general tidy, I have had to replace some of the knob and slider caps on Kitten Two and the laminated chipboard end cheeks could be better. Check out the photos…” Link

Synth is best suited for someone who knows how to use it.” Link

Moog, Source @ 21 September 2009, “No Comments”

1 x Moog The Source

1 x Klinkenkabel

1 x Netzkabel

Link moog_pr_2

Roland, TR-606 @ 20 September 2009, “No Comments”

tr606_1 “THIS ROLAND TR606 IS in good condition considering it’s age except I think the scale function switch is missing, see pics. Looks like you could use a skinny screwdriver to change it. All functions work great and it definitely sounds amazing! There is one weird thing. While testing this unit I noticed that as the pattern runs through whatever red leds are lit up for the intstrument you have selected will emit a quiet audible buzz when the sequence passes by the light. I would just avoid this by not using one of the instruments in the pattern say the high tom for example…also, missing battery cover” Link tr606_2
