“urn your SH-101 into a crowd-wowing keytar with this mod grip! This little handle pulls the pitch/filter bender and LFO trigger button to a more convenient location for off-the-stand performance. It also has built in strap pegs. This mod grip is blue, to match the blue SH-101, but I think it looks just as good on the gray or red versions of the synth.

This mod grip looks good and works well. It shows some signs of wear, but has no cracks. The contacts for the button and the wheel are a little dirty from lack of use, but they will operate better after repeated pressing/turning. All the thumb screws are included.” Link

“This keyboard is fully programmable, and is currently set to factory defaults. It has two strap knobs and takes six C batteries (included) or a 9v AC power source (also included). I do not have the original manual, but I will include a printed version.

Included is a brand new 9v power supply from RadioShack, opened only once to install the adapter and test it, and a strap.” Link

“Korg Poly 800 (PS-800) Polyphonic Synthesizer. Great vintage keyboard for those hard to find classic 80′s analog sounds. 8 voice polyphonic analog synth – 64 memory patches and 50 editable parameters. Manufactured only two years, 85-86, a vintage classic. Digital oscillators with analog filtering, noise generator, stereo chorus, mono/poly modes, joystick pitch and mod controls, headphone output, stereo 1/4″ audio outputs, step sequencer, double(layered) mode, much, much more.

Overall this unit is in very good shape, please note the couple of cigarette burns. In particular the one on the high G is definitely notable visually although it doesn’t affect play at all because of the position of the blemish on the key. We think it adds character, this keyboard has been places. Other than those, the unit is in excellent shape for its age, some small scuffs and scratches from normal wear and tear but nothing else major. We give it a 90 for cosmetic, and 100 for functionality. We’ve replaced the batteries and reloaded the original factory patches, everything works exactly as intended AND IS GUARANTEED AS SUCH.
Original box not available however the item will be professionally packed and shipped AND INSURED for no extra charge. Ringbound manual is included. Power supply is also included, it’s not original but it’s the correct specifications and works perfectly. Also included is a copy of the two original factory banks the synth was shipped with(Bank A, Bank B), on cassette tape. ” Link

“Only just got this one, so i’ll put up a more comprehensive listing when i get more chance to play with it. But at first glance it’s in pretty good condition. Just a couple of fairly minor scratches. I played round with it for about 30mins yesterday and couldn’t find any trouble. The front panel knobs have the desired effect. Filter is good, etc. Keyboard works no worries. I haven’t tested the patch cable functions yet. Can’t see why they wouldn’t work – unless one half of the synth has corroded away on the inside and the other half is miraculously still in good condition. OK, i’ll check the patch functions soon. Anyway, it’s a nice synth. Good condition, sounds ace.” Link

“Great Working Condition Vintage Korg MS-20 analog synthesizer PROFESSIONALLY SERVICED by Class A Electronics, LLC/Diabolical Devices. It is in prefect working condition and has been cleaned inside and out. Cosmetically there are a few scratches and signs of its age. The worst spot in on the top (see pics). “Classic semi-modular Korg MS-10 mono-synth. Synth is in very good condition — there are some minor scratches and scuffs around the unit, but it’s in good condition. Very clean unit. There is a large classic Korg sticker on the back of the unit. Has been in my smoke-free home studio and has never been gigged. All keys, knobs and jacks work. This is a 120V US Version. Picture is of actual item for sale. This will be packed in an oversized box to keep it safe during shipping.” Link

“The KX-5 is a vintage and very sought after 37-note remote MIDI controller (“Keytar”) with velocity and aftertouch sensitivity, used to play and control other synthesizers remotely- it has no internal synth of its own. A ribbon controller is used for pitch and mod effects. There’s also unison, sustain, portamento buttons and a breath controller input. Up to 64 patches can be accessed via 8 buttons, 4 bank buttons and the sustain button. With 2 switchable MIDI channels you can control 2 synths on the fly. Powered by 6 AA batteries (not included).

I am the original owner of this unit from 1985. It is fully functional and cosmetically very clean (it does have a small wear spot at the center point of the ribbon controller that does not affect its function or playability).

I’m including a nice gig bag, a 50′ MIDI cable and a copy of the original owners manual. Unit will be carefully packed and shipped as soon as payment clears. ” Link

I’m selling this highly collectible vintage “Keyter” made by Yamaha.

This is a VERY early model that was sent to a Sears executive in NJ from the headquarters in Chicago.

The original owner said it was a gift for his kids and was a special order.

Apparently the kids did not play with it much because it look almost like new!

I am heavily discounting this keyboard due to a flaw with the LED display. Only one digit (the first of two) will light up.

This does not effect the sound or function at all.

Everything sounds and looks great with only a very light scratch here and there. As I said, it look close to new (see photos).

It comes with the original box (used for shipping with original label). Manual (dog eared). Power supply and neck strap.” Link

“Welcome! You are bidding on a vintage analog, Sequential Circuits “Max” Synthesizer. I bought this synth brand new about 25 years ago. I love this keyboard and really hate to sell it. It’s just been wonderful to own. It’s solid as a rock, has truly great sounds, especially horns. The best thing is that it’s so easy to use, super simple. Plug in and you’re ready to go. Great multi-track recorder. Comes with original documentation, operation manual and midi guide.” Link

“HERE IS A VINTAGE SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS INC. DRUMTRAKS DRUM MACHINE. IT NEEDS SOME TYPE OF REPAIR.

SOMETIMES WHEN I TURN THE SWITCH ON, THE RUN STOP LIGHT LIGHTS UP, THE LOAD CASSETTE LIGHT LIGHTS UP, THE SELECT SONG FUNCTION SONG NUMBER INDICATOR LIGHTS UP AND THE PATTERN NUMBER LIGHTS UP.

WHEN I SHUT IT OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON, THE LOAD BUTTON WILL FLASH. DIFFERENT LIGHTS WILL FLASH ON THE UNIT AND NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. I TURN IT ON AGAIN AND THE LEFT INDICATOR UP ABOVE THE KEYPAD FLASHES ZERO.

IT DOES ALL KINDS OF THINGS EACH TIME I TURN IT ON AND OFF. I AM NOT SURE IF IT HAS TO DO WITH THE SWITCH OR WHAT.

I LOOKED INSIDE THE UNIT AND NOTICED ON THE LEFT SIDE BY WERE IT HAS 3 LARGE BLACK CAPACITORS ARE, THERE IS A TRANSISTOR THING THAT HAS SOME CORROSION ON IT. I AM NOT SURE IF THAT AFFECTS THE UNIT. I NOTICED THERE ARE SOME SCREWS MISSING ON TOP THAT HOLDS THE PRINTER CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLY TO THE TOP OF THE COVER, IT HAS A BUNCH OF CHIPS IN IT THAT SAYS BASS, SNARE, RIM, TOM, RIDE 4, HAR, PERC2 PERC1, RIDE 3, RIDE 2, RIDE 1 AND CRASH 1,2,3,4. THERE IS A STAMP THAT SAYS MAY PEACE PREVAIL ON EARTH.

IT LOOKS LIKE THE CIRCUIT BOARD MAY NEED TO BE CLEANED UP. I CAN SEE LIGHT CORROSION ON DIFERENT CIRCUITS ON THE UNIT. MAYBE IT WAS EXPOSED TO SOME MOISTURE OR IT IS JUST FROM AGE.

I AM SELLING THIS UNIT AS IS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR. EVERYTIME I TURN THE SWITCH ON IT DOES SOMETHING DIFFERENT. SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT TURN ON AT ALL.

THE METRONOME KNOB HAS BEEN CHANGED OUT FOR A DIFFERENT KNOB. IT IS MISSING A COUPLE OF SCREWS THAT HOLD THE COVER ON.” Link

This may fall through the cracks as the title is listed at “Prohet 5.”

“Great shape and great sound! Since it was bought in 1978-1979 it hasn’t been used much b/c my dad (the original buyer) thought that it was a normal keyboard and didn’t play the right music for the soundscape possibilities of the Prophet 5. It’s been sitting in storage for over 20 yrs.! I just had it serviced and cleaned by a professional. I paid to have led lights replaced and the guy made sure everything works.

The reason for the discount is that there are 3 broken plastic knobs. I don’t have time to order them and have the guy replace them b/c I need money, but YOU CAN BUY THEM SUPER CHEAP on ebay and ther are by far THE easiest thing to replace on this sinthesizer! Don’t be shy b/c of 3 plastic knobs. Otherwise the thing is in great shape and sounds top notch. If you are in the Chicago or Milwaukee area, come check it out!” Link

ARP, Odyssey @ 17 June 2009, “No Comments”

“Up for auction is my white face ARP Odyssey. If you are looking at this auction, you know what this is. It has the 4023 12db/octave filter. It is in great playing condition. Physical condition is good too except for a tiny ding above the logo (ding is shown in pics), and some light scratching on the plastic case (also in pics). Both of these blemishes are minor, but I’m trying to keep it honest here. Auction includes the synth, original manual, volume/expression pedal, and portamento pedal. I’ve seen lots of white Odysseys for sale on eBay, but rarely with any of the foot pedals, this one has both. I have recently cleaned and re-lubed all the sliders, so they have good movement. I bought this synth in 1999, the guy who sold it to me had just had $400 dollars worth of work done on it. Some was calibration, some was parts repair/replacement. I have the receipt from that servicing, but it is a copy and difficult to read. I still have that copy and will send it with the synth. This synth has been in my private smoke free studio since I bought it in 1999. I hate to sell it, but I just haven’t been using it much and feel guilty hoarding it instead of letting someone else who would really use it own it. Item is about 35 years old, so item is sold as-is.” Link

“An ARP footswitch!

This pedal is not working.

It is intended as a sustain control pedal (normally closed).
It is always oped, even when depressed.
Probably a loose wire or worn-out switch internally.
It certainly shows use, but the metal housing is in good shape and the pedal action is good.
ARP logo is in good shape.
This item is auctioned as-is for parts or repair.” Link

“Up for auction is a vintage ARP Pro Soloist Electronic Music Synthesizer. This synth is in great condition and works fine. I am not an expert on old electronic instruments so I’m not sure of everything but it turns on and plays all kinds of different sounds that really sound cool. Overall it is in excellent condition with a few very minor blemishes including missing knobs on two sliding adjustments and a burn on the lowest D key. Nothing effects its overall shape or usability.” Link

ARP, Odyssey @ 17 June 2009, “No Comments”

“Up for auction is one of the most sought after analog monophonic synths, the ARP Odyssey. It’s in fully working order and in near mint condition. This is the opportunity to fulfill a dream and finally own a legendary classic synthesizer, a very musical sounding instrument and in many ways THE musician’s synthesizer by excellence. If by reading this your heart rate is accelerating you know which synthesizer is up for sale here but if not, let me explain.

This synth is regarded as one of the finest analog monophonic synths ever. It is very popular from the time it was conceived until this date which is a honor that’s that only shared by synths as the Moog Minimoog or Odyssey’s sibling, the ARP 2600. In many ways this synth was the model for many synths built to this day. It has a very expansive feature set, it is very ruggedly built, monophonic although with 2 fantastically sounding oscillators which can syncronise to each other (a feature the ARP 2600 lacks), an extremely versatile filter, two envelope generators, a ring modulator, external audio input, white and pink noise generators and XLR high and low impedance outputs. It has been used for the last 35 years in pop, rock, jazz, new wave and modern electronic music where it really shines in making fantastic sounding basses, warm pads, thundering soundscapes, ethereal strings, outer-worldly electronic sounds and, unlike other analog synths it can emulate real life sounds such as rain, wind and singing birds or crickets.

This ARP Odyssey is of the most popular mkIII revision of the black orange panel versions which was built in 1980 and has unpotted modules inside so they are very easy to service if something was to go wrong in the synth. Mind you, this synth is one of the latest built by ARP and, in addition, extremely solid and built to last so you need not to worry about this eventuality. I bought this instrument 3 years ago from a well-known synthesizer broker which had it serviced prior to the sale where it was confirmed to be 100% original without any modifications. This ARP Odyssey has a 220 Volt power supply so if you are going to use it in Japan or North America you need a step down converter which can be had for cheap in any hardware store to be able to connect it to your power outlet at home.

The front panel is totally mint. All the sliders work effortlessly and have their caps fitted which look like new. It’s quite rare to see a mkIII Odyssey with its original caps. The sliders and switches work without any noise on the synth’s sound. The tolex on the synth and the cover lid looks clean as a whistle and has only a few superficial knocks. I’ve tested all modules, inputs and outputs and found all of them to work. I would give this synth a 9 out of a 10. Its oscillators are very stable and never drift out of tune. This is one of the most beautiful looking ARP Odyssey you’ll ever find. To add to the spoils the original power cable and the XLR to 1/4″ jack cable so you can hook it up to your setup right away.

I’ve used this synth sparingly on recordings and have never gigged it. I’m only selling it for that reason as the size of this beast and the few times I’ve used it doesn’t justify the space it takes up in my home studio and I’d like to invest in new outboard gear.” Link

“Up for auction is one of the most sought after analog sequencers, the ARP 2600. It’s in fully working order and in mint condition. This is the opportunity to fulfill a dream and finally own a legendary classic synthesizer accesory, a very musical sequencer and in many ways THE musician’s analog sequencer by excellence. If by reading this your heart rate is accelerating you know which sequencer is up for sale here but if not, let me explain.

This device is used to trigger or play analog synthesizers and drum computers automatically through CV signals (from the pre-MIDI era). Before the heyday of sequencers in computers this was the device that musicians used to play sequenced loops on synthesizers way back in the seventies and early eighties. This sequencer is regarded as one of the finest analog sequencers and actually, as the only viable analog sequencer for musicians as other models including Moog’s 961 sequencer, were hard and unmusician-like to operate. It was very popular from the time it was conceived up until this date which is a honor that’s that only shared by synths as the Moog Minimoog or the ARP 2600. In many ways this sequencer was the model for many sequencers built to this day. It has a very expansive feature set, it is very ruggedly built, semi modular, it has 16 steps with 16 sliders for each step, although it can also be used as an 2 times 8 step sequencer, no less than 3 switchable gate signals per step (!!!), quantized or unquantized CV signal and pulse-width modulation (PWM) to provide “swing” to a sequence (yes, it even does that!) and an external input to synchronise to a pre-MIDI drum computer or a MIDI-CV converter with click per 1/4 note capability (any multiport Kenton MIDI-CV-Gate converter supports this). In addition to this (yes, the feature list goes on an on) on slow speeds it can even act as a waveform generator in which you can sculpture the waveform with the sliders. If you hook up a second ARP sequencer to (I have a second one for auction as well) you can make song arrangements with the loop programmed on the other sequencer or control the filter of your sequencer while the other one controls the oscillators. Well, as you can see this sequencer (by itself or in a pair of them) can be a whole world waiting to be discovered just as the ARP Odyssey and the 2600 can be for the adventurous musician which is willing to look beyond the obvious and face value.

This ARP Sequencer is of the rare last second version of the black orange panel versions which was built in the early 80s. I bought this instrument 3 years ago from a well-known synthesizer broker which had it serviced prior to the sale where it was confirmed to be 100% original without any modifications. This ARP2600 has a 110 Volt power supply so if you are going to use it in Europe you need a step down converter which can be had for cheap in any hardware store to be able to connect it to your power outlet at home.

The front panel is totally mint. All the sliders work effortlessly and have their caps fitted which look like new. The sliders and switches work without any noise on the synth’s sound. The tolex on the synth and the cover lid looks clean as a whistle. I’ve tested all modules, inputs and outputs and found all of them to work. I would give this instrument a 9.5 out of a 10. This is one of the most beautiful looking ARP Sequencers you’ll ever find. To add to the spoils I’m adding the owner’s manual, the original power cable and a set of Mogami high grade patch cables to the auction.

I’ve used this sequencer sparingly on recordings and have never gigged it.” Link

“OBERHEIM MATRIX 6R. excellent condition. tested and works perfectly. WITH MANUAL.” Link

“This is a used performance midi module. It is in good working condition and has never been taken out of my studio and is complete with manual, power supply and original box!

A very cool little piece of vintage 1991 gear that was ahead of it’s time.” Link

“For sale is an Oberheim Matrix 6 from 1985. This is a great analog synthesizer with a big sound. It is considered a stripped down XPander with DCOs. The Matrix 6 offers extremely vast programming and routing possibilities. While not quite the beast that the Matrix 12 was, it still offers a very comprehensive set of analog sounds at a fraction of the price. It has two independently tunable DCOs, portamento, a low pass filter with FM capabilities, three envelopes and two LFOs. It also features velocity and aftertouch. All of which can be routed to one another within the “Matrix Modulation.” This Oberheim has MIDI in, out, and thru.

There is a small puncture in plastic on the number pad, but all of the buttons work. Otherwise, it is in good physical and great working condition. Power supply included. ” Link

DX, Oberheim @ 16 June 2009, “No Comments”

“I TESTED THIS MACHINE AND EVERYTHING IS WORKING AND OPERATING SMOOTHLY . COSMETICALLY IGIVE IT A 9 OUT OF TEN BECAUSE OF A FEW NICKS ON THE FACE , BUT FOR A DRUM MACHINE THATS 20 + YEARS . THAT AINT BAD . CHECK OUT THE PICTURES . I’M NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER , BUT WHO EVER WAS TOOK EXCEPTIONAL CARE OF IT . ” Link

“In great working condition! Professionally used. Cables not included.” Link

“The Matrix 6R is a 3U rackmount version of the Matrix 6 keyboard. It features 6 note polyphony and digital oscilators. Each voice has 2 DCO’s, a VCF, 3 envelope generators, 2 ramp generators, portamento, 3 LFO’s and 2 VCA’s.

This unit powers up OK but the display reads PWPPPPPPPP. I don’t know if you can use a computer editor to control the patches and settings, but it didn’t do much without an editor.

If you are handy with Oberheim products or if you know what the readout means, this could be a good way to get a great sounding analog synth on the cheap. ” Link

“The two brains were purchased in 1979 and custom fitted into a special wood cabinet, with the proper output and input jacks. We have discovered these brains in a studio, where they were used only for a few years in the late 1970s and early 1980s then stored away for over 20 years. The moogs require a separate keyboard to operate them. A MIDI keyboard can be run through a MIDI to voltage converter to operate the moogs and vice versa (keyboard technicians should be aware of this). The original keyboard and MIDI-voltage controller were stollen out the back of a gear truck several years ago, but new ones are not too difficult to come by.

The moogs still have a clear plastic coating from when they were new. The coating has now become frail and difficult to remove with age, but perhaps with the right type of solution it can be accomplished.

The moogs are in as-is condition, as mentioned previously we have no way of knowing whether the oscillators are working properly, as we don’t have the proper equipment and are not musicians. However, a new power cord was fitted to the module, and the modules both power up perfectly, so there is not a power problem.

Those of you keyboardists who are fans of analog synthesizers know the importance of this instrument and the wondrous sounds it can produce. With the proper equipment, this vintage analog instrument can be modernized and MIDI-able, to use with the latest digital recording technologies!” Link

“You are drooling over a Moog Taurus II analog synthesizer!

This particular unit has integrated MIDI in capabilities., this means you can control it using any king of midi controller, be it your own set of midi bass pedals (or the one I have in my other auctions!) or a keyboard to get leads, drones, basses, you name it.

Please note: You won’t be able to use a regular set of Moog pedals, since I have used it’s DIN jack as the MIDI in jack.

But CV/Gate capabilities have been retained, so you can connect your vintage synths to it.

Also worth mentioning is it’s audio in jack, with this you have access to the famous moog 24dB filter, is like having a Moogerfooger!

Every slider functions as is supposed, as well as the pots and switches.

But, don’t take my word for it, check the videos I made with the Taurus:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgV_TAsn9ok

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTk6twxKwaI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZGl4-GCU6M

As you can see on the pictures, there is a chip of wood on the upper left side, as well as on the back, some kind of dark ink was used to mark some settings, and some all around scratches., but if you ask me, it only adds character.

Comes with non original AC adaptor.” Link

“For your consideration is this vintage Moog Micromoog in excellent condition with the era appropriate Anvil fibre case. This synth has been thoroughly tested, and is guaranteed to work perfectly. This vintage single-oscillator monophonic Moog synthesizer was created to be an accessible version of the Minimoog. This Moog is extremely user-friendly and easy to manipulate. With 1 VCO, 1 VCA, 1 low-pass filter, and a sample & hold arpeggiator, this very simple keyboard is one of the most basic synthesizer units. While some Moog synthesizers are difficult to interpret, this highly functional model enables productive immediate use. This synth is highly recommended for: small studios, synth collectors, non-keyboard playing musicians, live performances, producers, and experimental artists. As stated, the synthesizer works great and sounds amazing. Cosmetically, the synth looks beautiful with minimal wear. The ribbon pitch controller exhibits expected use, but otherwise the synth is perfectly intact with all knobs and switches present. The wood side panels look beautiful, and the aluminum trim is also very excellent.” Link

“Hi I have a vintage moog opus 3 for sale. It is in great shape and perfect working order. the only problem is the wood finish is beginning to wear a bit. Its just cosmetic. It’s an awesome sounding great synth that needs a good home! Or if you have any questions please send an email! Thanks! w The Opus-3 is one great little synth. It was designed by Herbert A. Deutsch from Hofstra University who originally nudged Dr. Robert Moog into building synthesizers and later served as director of sales & marketing for Moog Music. Herb also wrote the owner’s manual. The sounds are broken up into 3 categories: Strings, Brass and Organ. Strings and Brass have their own separate VCF filter sections, the Organ section has none. The Opus-3 also has 2 sound outputs for an early stereo effect with panning! It’s a colorful little synth with clearly laid out sliders and is fairly straight forward. It has classic analog Moog sound quality and is a great source of some string and lower octave techno-organ sounds. Item is sold as is. Comes with they keyboard and the power cable.” Link

The Roland SH-101 is a very musical sounding instrument and in many ways THE dance music synthesizer by excellence. If by reading this your heart rate is accelerating you know which synthesizer is up for sale here but if not, let me explain.

This synth has been very popular since the time it was conceived to this date which is an honor that’s that only shared by synths as the Moog Minimoog or the ARP2600. It has a very expansive feature set, light weight, can be battery operated, monophonic although with 1 great sounding oscillators and a very very useful sub oscillator (the hidden weapon of this synth), 1 extremely versatile filters, one envelope generator, an LFO, noise generators, 1 VCA and last but not least a sequencer. This step sequencer is either triggered by the LFO or by gate signal that can come from anything such as an analogue sequencer or a drum computer so it’s easy to interface to a MIDI setup. It makes a very convincing emulation of it’s brother the TB-303 (with whom it shares many parts) although it can also do very heavy thundering basses (that the 303 can’t) as well as bleeps and other analogue sounds we grown to appreciate in dance and electronic music. It has been modeled in software but this synth really blows all the imitators away at the touch of a key.

This SH-101 comes with all the accessories that were available to it when it was sold in the mid eighties. It comes with the modulation grip, the leather strap belt (which is stupid rare) so you can emulate Scritti Politti or Jan Hammer as well as 12 batteries which are of the thick AA type which are currently hard to come by. One set of 6 batteries is 6 months old and another set which is 6 months old as well, comes unopened. If you want to hook it up to a power outlet you can use the standard Boss PSA-240 power supply (Europe) or the PSA-130 (Japan/North America).

The front panel is totally mint. All the sliders work effortlessly and have their caps fitted which look like new. All in and outputs work flawlessly. The plastic and metal parts on the synth looks scratchless and clean as a whistle and has only a few superficial knocks. I’ve tested all functions, inputs and outputs and found all of them to work. I would give this synth a 9 out of a 10. Its oscillators are very stable and never drift out of tune. This is one of the most beautiful looking SH-101 as well as complete you’ll ever find.

I’ve used this synth sparingly on recordings and have never gigged it.” Link

“Classic sounds from the Drumatix TR-606 from Roland. Works great, but no AC Adapter (runs on batteries if you don’t want to get the easily available power adapter separately)” Link

“This is a Roland Drumatix TR-606 computer controlled drum machine. It is in good condition with all of the original knobs and buttons, but it will not power on so it is being sold AS IS. I tried powering it up with batteries and with an adapter and neither worked. It comes with the machine only. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask!” Link

“Here is a ROLAND SH-101. WITH GRIP CONTROLLER! It WORKS.

BUT – long time ago it tipped over and somehow the VOLUME KNOB BROKE. It still works and I have used it. I Contacted Roland about getting a new POT for the volume control, but they kind of just said “Bummer” , and I got no price or anything to fix it.

NOW, let me again say that IT WORKS, but the operator has to “Adjust the volume manually”. This means that if you put your finger in the spot where the POT was, you can get it to put out volume by just tapping the inside of the Volume pot shaft. MORE LIKE – put your finger in the hole, and wiggle and you get sound. A simple little mixer would fix your adjustment of volume and I would recommend that if you are to use this constantly. At one time I put some paper in the hole and put a piece of tape over it and it worked like that forever. (At one constant volume though, and I did have a mixer to adjust it.)

(see picture) I am going to keep it with the paper intact so as I sell it , it is working this way. You may know a better way to fix this problem.)

SO HERE WE GO – It comes with the grip controller. Maybe someone you know can either fix the volume knob, or just enjoy some Devo type of electronic keyboard pleasure. This COULD be sold “AS IS”but I am confident that if you read this and understand what is going on with the keyboard, you will still enjoy it, and any questions should be sent prior to its ending bid time. It will need a good dusting, but otherwise in nice shape. I have cared for it enough to finally sell it, and still bummed about the injury to it. Though it’s in broken/working condition, I know it’s a classic and a vintage piece of equipment.” Link

CR-78, Roland @ 14 June 2009, “No Comments”

“This ROLAND CR-78 COMPURHYTHM DRUM MACHINE RHYTHM BOX is in VERY GOOD cosmetic condition and perfect working condition. Also included in this auction is a printed hard copy of the users manual and a CDROM with the same users manual as a pdf so that you can read it on your computer. For a better idea of the cosmetic condition of the CR-78 please see all of the numerous images below which include overall shots of the CR-78 along with small details worth noting.

This CR-78 is in perfect working condition meaning all of the functions have been tested extensively and work without issue. This includes the five volume sliders, five switches, five knobs, thirty buttons on the front and seven ¼” jacks and one switch on the rear and the attached power cable/plug .

The overall cosmetic condition of the CR-78 is very good but here are the details worth mentioning and when possible I took close up pictures of those details. The top front and top rear corners of the case are slightly dull. There are a couple of dings and dents to the outer box. On the front face of the CR78 above the lettering for ACCENT and to the left of the ROLAND logo there are a couple of dings to the black paint. There are three tiny holes on the bottom of panel of the outer case. I took a picture and included a ruler for scale. This is purely cosmetic and in no way affect the machine. The holes are about the size of a nail. Lastly – one of the original white slider caps has been replaced by a red slider cap that is similar to the original and fits the slider stem snugly – a perfect fit.
These are images of the actual item (not generic pics off the web). There are a couple of images where the box and or parts look like they bow or are distorted – this is an effect of the camera lens – everything is perfectly flat and square.” Link
