“This synth has a problem.
That problem is called “not working”.
It will power up, but there is no audio output at all.
It is missing one of it’s wooden sides and the keyboard cheek blocks are damaged.
Keys are all unbroken and physically working well.
All switches and controls are intact and move well.
No missing electronic components or repairs to them.
There is general scuffing to the various surfaces as you can see in the photos.
Wooden housing parts will require some strengthening, metal parts are in good structural shape.
This unit is for auction as-is for parts or repair.
Please be aware that this unit might never function on it’s own might be usable only for parts.
In any case, an experienced tech will certainly need to be involved.
Such a great synth!
Preset waveforms, and all of the performance controls you could ever need!
Theremin, brass, bass, sounds effects!
FUZZ SOUNDS!
Get the parts to repair your other vintage Roland gear!
Those knobs, switches, and fader tips could be worth it alone.
That elusive high F key could really bring that project you’ve been sitting on together.” Link

“This is it! A friggin crazy keytar controller. As seen in Revenge of the Nerds and dozens of cheestastic 80′s videos. DO YOU WANT YOUR MTV???? Well you can’t have it, because MTV doesn’t play videos anymore. But if you want to relive the days when they did then put away your air-keytar and pick up this bad boy. On a serious note, it works as well as I can figure it out. It’s used but in good shape, no major cosmetic wear as you can tell by the pictures. I never used it as a serious controller, just screwing around and controlling other synths that also had their own keyboards. On my Nord Wave the mod and pitchbend worked like a champ but on my older stuff (FS1R and K5000) I didn’t get any response, probably had something to do with MIDI CC, but I’m not sure. It runs great off batteries, but I’m also including the power supply, sorry no manual. ” Link

The batteries have not in it so lost some the programming. You will need t load some the programs in it. Here a site that helps http://www.frontiernet.net/~rlsnuffy/poly800/index.html Comes with a printed out manual. Doesn’t come with strap, and no power cord.
The case is made by Anvil. Need a new liner of foam put in it. As you can see it doesn’t have any foam in it.” Link

“This is the well-known Yamaha SHS-10R (R is for Red) keytar. I tested it out thoroughly and it works perfectly. The strap is included as shown. It has a fair amount of scuffs and scratches (probably more than “average” for this instrument) but this is just cosmetic of course.
I guarantee that this item works as described or I will provide a full refund should you choose to return it.” Link

“When I got this synth it had lost its internal memory due to battery failure. I replaced it with a new Swiss made Renata lithium battery so its memory will be good for years. I have not loaded new sounds into this unit. I will leave it up to the new owner to load up their own favorite Yamaha 4op FM sounds.
It has been fully tested as a MIDI controller. All keys sound and
and pitch and mod wheels work as they should. All buttons and controls appear to work as they should with the exception of the
data slider. Not much of an issue unless you prefer to program FM synths from the front panel….personally I prefer a computer!” Link

“You are bidding on a flawlessly used Yamaha DX-7 synthesizer with two voice ROMS and a book containing patches called “600 voices for the DX-7″
I’ve picked this up from an auction myself, but am moving and hoping to lighten the load. The synthesizer works great, sounds great. Referenced by Plaid, Brian Eno, and all kinds of other electronic musicians for it’s buzzy, 80′s style basslines and warm tone.” Link
“Yamaha DX7. Works well. No issues. Cosmetic condition is good. Comes with a Hard Case, and one DX7 voice ROM (A: orchestral and percussive group, B: Complex and effects group). ” Link

“Vintage Yamaha CS-01 analog synth in great shape.

“This is a monster of a synth. It is a version 2 Prophet 5 and was bought by myself from the company Music Control in 2003. I have only ever used it for home recording but have now got to the stage where I simply want to move on to other things. The synth is in good cosmetic condition, considering its age, and is in full working order. There are some minor blemishes/scratches on the front panel and the metal logo on the back has minor blemishes. I am selling the synth with an operation manual (copy) and it will be available for collection from my home.” Link
“Classic 12 Bit sampler with Analogue Filters!! Excellent Condition!!
This was bought from America from a guy who had 5 of these from new and i agreed to buy the one he least used and this is it. I have used this maybe 5-6 times in the last year and it works perfectly. I use an sp1200 so regretably i need to sell this baby….
With Original manual, Cable and Voltage Converter, Floppy Drive Protector Card and a set of DSDD Disks.
The spare midi port switch is broken( i did it while trying to clean the back of the unit!) but luckily it is on ‘midi thru’ but this spare port is barely used anyway. ” Link
“This machine was owned by a fairly well known touring musician who has had some hard times. His rig caught fire and he came back to find he’d lost a Les paul and some really valuable stuff. FORTUNATELY this machine wasn’t in there. He’s trying to raise some money to get things on the mend and had this really fabulous SCI Prophet 600 and a SCI Prelude also.(already sold, sorry).
The front panel multiplexers have been replaced in this one by me and some sockets cleaned and that sort of thing and it all works great now. Well the memory was dumped but the battery looks good. We can load sounds or you can just keep building on the ones I started. These do bulk dumps fine from my old spg universal librarian even! I have a prophet 600 in my studio and it’s a very useful analog tool as it sets above my Korg Karma. I love the lead sounds these things make (Go to sounddoctorin.com and take the sdstudio link for a virtual tour but also for song samples. The tune ‘A tree planted’ uses a prophet 600 solo in the middle of it. ) partly because you can swing the mix all the way left before you save a unison sound and it will stack all 12VCO’s.
As you may know these use the Curtiss CEM3340 VCO and the CEM 3372 VCF for 6 voices of 2vco/voice analog sound. This is a later serial ( number 5899 or like that I think it was. Close enough..) so I assume it already has the EPROM version with omni off option (hold record and hit ’8′. and Hold record and 9 then hit ‘tune’ to bump midi channels up). Otherwise this thing is pretty simple to use and tons of fun to play with in real time.
Also you may or may not know this is the original MIDI synthesizer from ’82 and was first attached to a Jupiter 6 I’ve heard at the NAMM show following to demonstrate MIDI to the world. So a real piece of history.
Now LET US TALK ABOUT..the KEYBOARD! My studio one has some keys that I have to whack to get them to play which is common on these and the polysix which use the same panasonic movement. (see other auction for details of how I’ve developed a solution for refacing all these old contacts and making them like new if there ever IS a problem! MANY people are looking at these instruments as a risky investment because of this. Well..not more. I totally refaced the contacts on that polysix in my other auction and this material is amazing! Check out the details there.) . HOWEVER THIS keyboard was perfect from the first time we played it. If problems ever arise it’s super easy now to deal with it though just to lay your mind at rest.
Cosmetically I’m struggling to see anything I’d consider significant. There are a few very tiny touchups on the wood it seems in the picture..hehe..I didn’t notice that looking at it. That camera brings out any small flaw. The bottom has a lot of scratches but nothing looks like it went through to rust or anything. So if a person wanted to make this thing museum quality they wouldn’t have a very difficult road for sure. Sand/pain the bottom and get out your microscope and go looking for anything else that needs it. This one is in really excellent shape having been kept in the case obviously a good portion of it’s life. The case is missing the handle but one can be easily attached to the hoops that are still there I suppose.” Link
“Excellent working condition. Only flaw is that 2nd-from-bottom LED (Copy/Append to) is blown. The functions all work, just the LED is dead.
- Shipment will contain (i) TOM, (ii) power supply, (iii) “Contemporary” cartridge containing Simmons-like kick, snare, tom, rim sounds, and an assortment of synth effects, and (iv) complete users manual and MIDI guide.” Link
“Im selling a Prophet VS, its Sequential’s only and last digital synth. It uses analog filters, tons of wavetables, 4 oscillators, tons of modulation, one of the finest keyboards ever made. Its in good cosmetic condition, but it has some issues. There are some missing screws on the bottom, which contributes to somehting loose inside, but it works 100%, this can easily be fixed. There is also a dead key which can probably be fixed just by opening the VS and adjusting it, if not, send it to wine country to just service it overall. It works 100% and is in good cosmetic shape. It comes with a VS Catridge full of cool sounds. I pack everything i sell carefully and i have pretty good feedback. Its being sold as is, please be aware of this. Please dont bother me if your not interested. This is cheaper then usual, they usually go for 1700 bucks, its 500 less so you can send it to wine country if you want to get it professionally fixed, i dont have the money to do so, or you can just play it the way it is, its not a big deal. This has been gigged out in this condition, never had a problem.” Link
